Maybe some are rated as cab n chassis - no bed - 9400 - when purchased and with 9200 when they came with a bed ? Or maybe one has bucket seats - 2 - passenger and the other has a bench seat - 3 - passenger ????? That is a great question
The 700r4 /6.2 combo was available for 6 or 7 years. Also they put the 700r4 in many 3/4 ton trucks - 84 thru 87 light 3/4 ton models had a 700r4 - the heavy duty 3/4 ton models had a turbo 400 and ran on regular gas thru 86
Th 475 has straight cut gears and a regular th400 has helicar cut gears. The th475 is much stronger with these gears however you cannot downshift . We use kevlar bands in my sled pulling truck -

How does mud get inside a properly installed hub ? I guess warn , ford , chevy , dodge and most hub maufacturers should consult you and change their service specs on hubs and hub installation.

Both the np 208 and np 205 t case are plenty strong enough. Getting the correct adapter for your tranny might be a little bit of a challenge. I just completed putting a 454 in mine. Your stock radiator should be plenty big
366 IS A great medium duty truck engine. Used in the 1970's and 1980's. I wish i had one with a allison auto behind it. Easy swap - same/similar as any other chevy gasser.
You can still buy most of the body repair panels and rust replacement rocker panels , floor boards etc from your local gmc or chevy dealer. Cannot beat oem parts for fit - i just bought complete rocker panels for my 1980 k30 from gmc dealer for $115 per side - no china junk - the real deal
