It came loose from gov planet and missing the nut, why is there a safety cable on the transfer case?

Does anyone know what this cable is and what its used for? Its underneath the left driver side of the vehicle in front of the transfer case. The nut is missing from the bolt and not sure if I need it.

Planning on changing the gear oil on the rear differential on my M1165 but not sure where the fill hole is, I see a fill screw when looking at the differential from the rear but not sure if its for the gear oil or something else.

I finally got my humvee running but im hearing a knocking noise from the right rear axle when I took it for a drive, I can hear the noise even when the vehicle is rolling in neutral. Has anyone experienced this problem and maybe can give some advise as to what may be the problem?

Yes I did, the floor is lower underneath the battery tray and it doesnt look like it will hold the support bracket evenly, plus its too much work
