Glow plug controller wiring, need help

Attached pictures of relay. The purple has a black wire spliced into it because it was too short when whoever did the mod. Anyway. The black wire connected to terminal 3 is the purple wire in question. The light blue wire is adjacent.

Glow plug controller wiring, need help

Oh and the starter cable is still disconnected for saftey reasons. Would that prevent the gp system from working? I dont want the motor turning yet. No oil. the motor is dry. No fuel. I dont want it running until i confirm all electrical is good. No fires. The modded alternator is still in...

Glow plug controller wiring, need help

Ok so someone forgot to label all the wires on this build. No sense in pointing fingers. What is done is done and we are where were at now. Anyway... The glow plug system and wait to start light worked pre build so I know it works and everything is fine. Just need a nudge in the correct...

optimizer long block - hummer 24V or cucv 24v

I isolated the ground myself. The cs130 I found was exactly that. The pass side is a d case. Same alt but different case. Better cooling. were gonna find out in the next day or two if it worked or not. If I could replan and do it over I'd go for the hmmwv alt mounts but I don't know too much...

optimizer long block - hummer 24V or cucv 24v

And the freeze plugs will be just fine with the high flow pump. Crossover locations overrated. If ur building this... arp studs... forged crank... f luidampr. Do it. Your motor will be much happier in the long run. The 6500 blocks aren't cheap. Don't bust a 2500 dollar block because of an 800...

Should end up with something like that

optimizer long block - hummer 24V or cucv 24v

My 94 has an am gen 6500 block. Its great. Make sure you have a manual valve body 4l80 or nv4500 on it first off. As for the serp vs v belt I'd go serp because of the inherit issues of the 6 2 and 6 5. In short the serp is better for the motor and is more robust you can do dual alts.the...

    Diagnostic Plug Under Dash?

The dash Carrier unit and firewall are empty by comparison to most vehicles even those of the same era. Should be pretty simple. I agree with cucvrus, it disconnects nice and easy. Nothing special. The rubber grommet pushes out with an easy finger push. Just don't cut ur fingers on the firewall...

    Voltage regulator and "suppressors"

Im under the assumption the 85 series 1008 / 9 are internally regulated? Or did I miss the external voltage regulator somehow? Just making sure before I put juice to it... And the supressor from positive junction block to negative junction block is not required nor recommended?

    CS130 Isolated Ground

Cs130 on cucv. The simple version I've been told I can be a bit wordy from time to time and I apologize its all in the details to me... Has anyone ever wired a cs130 to a c ucv. The only thing I need to know at this point is where the red wire from the 27si connector goes. Does it go to...

    CS130 Isolated Ground

Nothing from the peanut gallery lol. Ok well from what I have found over the past day the red wire from the 27si connector goes to the s terminal.

    CS130 Isolated Ground

Oh and do both gauges read 12v in the c ucv or does one read 12 and the other 24? That would answer the pass alt terminals. I forgot. But I think it reads 24 even though both alts are 12

    CS130 Isolated Ground

ive been going for F/I, however i could be wrong. im just thinking based on what im reading in the manual, if I use the S then the L and F/I are nullified? furthurmore i may have to use F/I on the 12v and S on the 24 (pass side), and again, I could be wrong... but this is where im headed...

    CS130 Isolated Ground

Ok, so I have successfully isolated the ground for the cs130 alternator along with creating a cooling device and resistor just in case temps start to rise and the alt starts to blow... which im still expecting. the case has no ground connection. it checks out on a multimeter and "in theory" but...

    cucv 24v alt questions

    cucv 24v alt questions

ok, so after a full nights worth of research i think i have a pretty good grasp on isolating the ground on the cs130, but im concerned about hooking up 12v+ charging from driver side alternator to isolated ground on passenger side. the grounds are essentially connected to the brush holder on the...

    cucv 24v alt questions

im very thankful for all the helpful replies. i thought i was pretty good at electricity but, there is a first time for everything, and this is my first 12/24 hybrid. i aim to keep the stock 12/24 system. i apologize; when i said modify the harness i shortened my intentions... modify the...
