Part number for aftermarket trailer connector?

I just used a test light and tracked down which wires were which and then soldered/shrinktubed the connections. When i started tracing out the extra military connections they had on the M1009 they were all poor connections that were corroding. I went with a 7 blade connector due to how common it...

    Need some CUCV parts

I had 2 made and they did them out of 2/0 welding wire. I am very happy with them and the cost was high but well worth it for the amount of copper in them.

You can change the power to 12 volts from in the engine compartment. I used to have the same setup for an inverter.

Well Joe's was a bust, Lots of trucks there but completely scavanged or rusted out. There was alot of stuff that should not be in an auto junk yard. I was surprised how much of a mess it was. You tripped over parts that were scattered everywhere. I found one good suburban that hat that style...

Yep I second that Crash is dead on. I was stationed at Spangdahlem AB for 3 years. Everybody pretty much are part of the 52FW fighter wing. Then you have your units. For us it was 52CES/CEF or 52 cival engineering squadron/ CEF is for fire depts. Sometimes units could request materials from...

    Bad Alternator

RE: Re: RE: Bad Alternator I have always had to rev it to have the light go out and kick in the alt's and I have owned the truck since 1999. Even now with it converted to 12V and running on 1 alt I still have to rev. I have 2 brand new optima group 31 yellow tops in it and also kinda a little...

    M1009 won't start...did a search but no luck

RE: M1009 won That is the right one. It will plug right in. The 5th pin style is more universal. It has no effect on our vehicles.

    Herculiner the cab of M1008

I have had a paint in bed liner in my M1009 since 2000, it has held up pretty good. Unfortunately the rust from underneath is eating through it. I had undercoated it almost every year except when I was out of the country and was often parked in a garage with a gravel floor. This was a kit from...

    M1009 windsheild prices

RE: shield yes but many of us pay our rates for years and years and never once make a claim. so for them to use some of our money on what we pay it for isn't too bad as long as you aren't over doing it. our rates keep going up because of constant frivlous lawsuits and the outrageous cost for...

What neighbors have to say about my new M1009

I am surprised they are letting you keep them as military looking as they are. Our inspections on the base over there wanted me to paint a big white stripe down the side of the M1009. I talked them down to a blue one on the back of the tailgate. The next year they tried to tell me that wasn't...

    Shake/Shudder from 25-45 mph

How bad can an unbalanced tire make your truck shake? I finally got to drive my M1028 and the front shakes like hell and it feels like it is comming from the front left side. Feels like a flat spot in the tire but I can't find anything visually wrong with the tire.
