    Wiper Motor Problems

I have no power here either, but I haven't had time to hunt anything down. I think the column switch on mine might be bad, but the water light and seatbelt light come on when I try to turn them on. Also my turn signal arrows are staying lit.

RE: Re: RE: M1008 in the netherlands Any one else lost? LOL Welcome to the site! I personally miss being in europe. You have a beautiful country. Also the only one I was ever actually pulled over in, and it wasn't when I was driving the M1009. Which surprisingly managed to sqeeze through the...

best kind of batteries to use?

it is always best to use the same type and even normally recommended to be replaced together. Group 31 Truck batteries are what you want to get nothing below 900 CCA would be my recommendation. My one truck I have optima yellow tops which were $245 each, the other truck has a set of blemish...

M1008/9 Side Light Removal Torx Tool

You are lucky torx are torx they are the no metric or sae. When i was traveling in Ireland I bought some tools to take back when I was working in Kuwait. I found most of your general hardware stores carry torx sets or individual torx drivers just ask one of the people behind a counter. It is...

    No Juice

You can convert to 12V if you want to but you have to get a 12V starter and redo the battery cables. If the 24V system is working and you can track the problem it might be easuer to stay on 24V. If not just ask and we can get you a link to a site that has step by step instructions on doing the...

    Shut down

Swede, I had a great time as well, and it was good to meet you. I think you are right that it is your glow controller. I would say to keep costs down, either go with replacing the glow controller, where there is somewhere in here that they talk about that and the civilian version glow controller...

    Pictures of new 1008

Well since I can't have it parked on a city street, it is out of town at an Aunt's up in her yard. So I won't try to do any of the maintanance stuff out there. So I will just have to wait patiently.

    Glow plug relay questions

ok kinda on the same subject kinda not. I have the 110 for mine, and have held off installing it since it came with no wiring instructions. Most relays I have ever put in always had a basic schematic on or with them. would I be correct in thinking the main power input is on the ignition side of...

    Headlights spare parts

RE: Re: RE: Headlights spare parts  now that is bright, and to think I am happy with DOT which are 55w/60w. remind me to stay behind you when you are driving.

    Headlights spare parts

definately brighter even with the DOT bulbs or if you think you can get away with it you can get brighter ones. Plus you have more options, and for those who are environmently friendly instead of tossing out an entire light assembly you are only throwing out a little bulb when they go bad

I am just ignoring the fact that I have a truck that I can't drive. Good thing it doesn't sit at my house so I don't have to see that fact. ;)

    Headlights spare parts

I think the kit dropped in price. Cause mine also was from hella. Unless yours came with the new wiring which mine didn't. Mine was just the headlights and bulbs.

    Headlights spare parts

I know when I was in germany I was able to goto certain auto parts stores and get parts I needed. The standard headlights that come on these trucks are replaced as a whole unit. I spent the $80 for the conversion kit this year, and to me it was well worth the money.

Hidden Hitch Class III/ Shocks ?

I also recommend hunting through the threads by doing a search. I know we hit hitches up pretty heavy a couple months ago. I have a putnam class III on mine. Had to remove the 1" crossbar, and the pintle plate. I intend on chopping the plate, rewelding it and it should then fit right on top the...

    Turn signal

The original flashers for these trucks are really garbage. I had problems before I hooked a trailer up. My signals were really fast, and with a trailer they didn't even work. Happy to hear that fixed yours.

    Turn signal

could be the switch but I would spend the $10 and get a heavy duty flasher, even though the other one is working it might be it. I have had problems similar but cleared once I replaced the flasher unit.
