I'd like to bring the fire departments M813 for the mud day but I just imagine that they would frown on that..LOL. There is a guy that lives in Granbury (60? miles west of Dallas) that has quite-a-bit of MV's. He has everything from deuces all the way up to a 10 tonner M123. He also has several...
Wow, you have got your work cut out for you General. That looks like it was a job just to get it moved. Once again, it is good to see good honest people helping each other out. Hope that all goes well with your refurb. Wish we had more MV junk in the Texas area to tinker with. Once again, good...
Hey Mike, I used to have a 725 with the Tornado engine in it and I always ran 10W30. I never had any problems with it and it had good pressure. Hope this helps.

After I posted earlier Mike, I got to thinking that maybe you could take your generator (or pulley) to you local alternator or generator shop. The one here usually has a mountain of old alternators laying around and maybe they could get you fixed up as well. One more avenue, you might also check...
Looks good Steve. Are you going to put expanded metal on it?? Wish I had one like that on our truck. Only a matter of time until one of our guys cram a tree thru the radiator. I can send you some fire engine red paint for it if you like. rofl .
Looks good [thumbzup]

Hey Buggy. My concern was fitting it into the building. I think that with the 11X20's , we only have 4 or 5 inches at the stack for clearance. As far as weight, we will have about 10,000 lbs of water on this thing all the time for fighting fire.

Anybody know how much taller the super singles will make an M813 set up? Also, will the singles fit right on to the truck or is there some modifying to go along with it??

Damn Steve, glad to hear that everything turned out allright. Get some pics of that ride on here. I wish that we would have bought a bridge truck instead of the 813. I like them big wheels
Fire truck update
Here's the pics as promised. We're getting there, slowly but surely. Still have a long way to go. Got the wheels painted as well as the underframe. He did a great job of getting the dings out of the hood and replacing some panels of cab rot around the bottom of the doors...
when i had my 71 m35 (non turbo), i put the larger exhaust stack on it and cut out the muffler and ran straight pipe. Shot out about 15" of orange flame at 55 mph. You just couldn't hear anything..lol
I'd like to split a few with you James, but I think if I told the department that I wanted to get a couple of tires right now, they'd probably shoot me. Do they sell rims with the tires at Texarkana ??
