Just recently, we finished our M813 brush firefighting vehicle and most of you probably saw the pics. I must say that it turned out very nice. However, the truck did not have a winch at the time of completion. Today, Texas Forest Service gave us a winch and all of the PTO as well as the bumper...
If you were in Cleburne, you should have stopped in and looked at our beautiful 5 ton. You were only about 8 miles away. Where exactly is Haneys at in cleburne?? I see him on ebay but I have never been by his place.

That is correct. That poly tank is a foam tank. I was looking for one that was smaller
(like 15 gallons) but the 35 was the smallest that I could find. I wanted to get these pictures taken before the truck made a call because I have a feeling it won't look this nice after going thru the brush a...
600 gallons each. We played with it for awhile a couple of days ago and it will take about 20-30 minutes to empty both tanks while fighting fire. It will all depend on what GPM we have the nozzle set on. Thats a heck of alot longer than our 1 tons will last.
Thanks to all of you for the nice comments and prayers. The truck turned out nicer than I had planned. I didn't have much help in all of the leg work that it took to get it to this point, but I have plenty of fireman standing in line to drive it now. As far as the paint goes, we used Dupont...
It runs super Will. Yeah, I am hoping that the Cumins emblems don't get knocked off. This thing runs Grrrreat. We had a heck of a time trying to get all of the muck out of the radiator though. Looked like someone had dumped "Mississippi Mud" in that thing. BTW, did u ever get your shirt ??
After some sweat, time, and alot of whining, the 5 ton is finally done. We put it into service today. I want to thank you all for helping me with technical support. This thing is AWESOME !! If you are ever around and want to stop by and look, drop me an email. Thanks again for all of the help...
RE: State
Whats the story on the utility truck?? Looks like he either went into that field at 75 mph and sank or he got stuck in a sinkhole. Great !! Job Well Done !!
I was going to tell y'all that on your way to vernon, there is a place of interest about 8 - 10 miles North of Decatur on US287, south side of road. This place had numerous m35's as well as some other MV stuff. There was also a HUGE trashed out helicopter at this joint. Looked like a foreign...
The tires and the winch are a big plus .These trucks are easy to find, you just have to know where to look. I saw your truck last night on Ebay and thought that it was a nice truck but $12K is alot. Hope that it works out for you.

Hey Steve, hate to hear that you are going to part with that ol' truck. Sounds like it has been a good one for you and I hope that whoever buys it will enjoy it as much as you have. Good luck with the new prospect. [thumbzup]
