Remove the plastic inst cluster bezel (philips screwdriver) there is a philips screw on the right side will need a short driver. Remove the radio accessory plate if you have one. Then remove 3-4 small bolts along bottom. No problem. Getting it back in place is bit of challenge but not a big one...
How much time? I am on my third coat with my m38a1. First one was really glossy. 2nd was more flat after more intense mixing of the first can. Painted my Dad's m151 same color different can shaken a lot and it came out semi-gloss. Gonna paint mine again this w/e with the remainder of that gallon.
My Dad warned me to take off my wedding ring prior to disconnecting the batts or when working on anything electrical on my vehicles or etc. My Dad saw a friend get his ring melted on his finger :shock: when it arced while working on his M38 years ago.

Thanks we are gonna evaluate whether to resore or not.:cookoo: Dad had a M6 for a while and I think he wants to tackle this one. The usual issues are time & money (M1009 for sale may help the latter).
