Forgot to add. Be careful when using the tool on the rear drivers side last two plugs, if you are not straight they will break. Ask me how I know. :oops:

i had 7 out of 8 swell on me. The removing tool came in real handy. I over heated them cranking the engine. My fault.

Mine was the bottom fuse. Now I am onto the GP card.:cry: Little black box under the dash by the steering column.

Mine is solid at 80. On the highway I am between 75-80.

What is the going price for one of these? Is it possible to convert one to a US engine and tranny for easy of getting parts? Also the Ferret without a cannon?

it is strong in the green. did it prior to the parts replacment for about a week. it is a M1009, 24V unconverted. all wires are tight.

16 Dec 09: ok, New glow plugs, new relay starter, new gp selenoid, new fuel filter base, New fuel filter, and a replaced GP mod card. It starts like it should, runs like it should. When I first start and it is cold the wait light and fuel in water light flicker off and on and there is chatter...

After seeing the ones in the UT GL yard, I want to put a cargo rack on top and throw my spare and hi-lift there. I was originaly going to go with a home made swing out rack for the tire and two military gas cans. Throwing this idea out, how should I now mount my cans? Looking for thoughts.

So I was surfing and saw the local yard has a ton of M1009 with lift kits, fancy rims and tires, roof racks, 3 seats up front, no brush gaurd, tires on top,a nd black grills. Where would these be used? I didn't know the Mil was allowed to mod these like this?

My trailer has the original older style wheels. Is it possible to take the existing hub and convert it to a 6 lug to accept chevy M1009 rims? I am not concerned with having the original brakes, I would probably remove them. (don't know much about these, it was given to me) Also Can the...
