OH BUT AFTER INSTALING THE NEW IP PUMP WE FOUND THE FIRST NEW STARTER WAS BAD. THAT SUCKED! So had to get another new starter, luckly it...

Any one know where the timming marks are on a ip pump for a m1009. Will be changing my old pump out for a new one tommarow and am trying to have all my ducks in a row before i start. Some one on here told me to match the new pump up to where the old pump comes out by using the timming marks. I...

Sorry to highjack this tread but i have a 85 m1009 and a brand new db2829-4521 this pump is for a 86- 87 and is marked 12v. I think the ip pumps are 12v anyways so this is not a problem but what about the year diferance:?:

What are we marking on the pump? Bolt wholes or the pin for the gear?

How are you scribing the old pump what spot are you marking? I know why we are doing this just not shure how to mark it. Maybe a bolt on the gear and the gear itself on the housing? :confused:

Well getting ready to replace my IP pump on my M1009, and was wondering what tricks or things to look out for before i get started?

A big thanks to beanman1. Finaly got the m1009 started for a couple of seconds yesterday. Got the starter problem solved, now on to the next. IP pump seal on the passenger side is leaking bad. Now that i have a new lift pump it realy leaks. I think this is why i am having a hard time getting it...

Well finaly had time to put the new starter on. After the problem i had with shorting out the starter silonoid. Hooked the bats back up and nothing, well i have dash lights, but nothing from the starter. The wait lite comes on and goes out after a bit but the starter does not even click. Turned...
