I have a pic of some dollies @ Parramore's surplus in Quincy, FL 20 miles east of Tallahassee. Edit: Just figured out how to post a pic. Here is his site http://www.parramore.com/
Grind and/or drill them out may be your only options for the stuck screws. Good luck. Keep an eye out for military lug wrenches. My Dad has a four point lug that will handle up to the lugs on a 2.5 ton truck.
I have heard of this starter sticking problem before but luckily it has not happened to me yet. (crossing fingers) What do you guys suggest doing if it does? Pull battery cables?
RE: fuel can bracket
I tried to post pics previously but I am not sure that the host site will support it. You can see my album at http://www.surfacezero.com/g503/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=139 I do not have the original pics as my computer crashed a year or so ago taking all the original...
RE: fuel can bracket
Thanks ONTOS I think that second one is what I'd like to do with mine. In fact i think I saw this picture elsewhere and it gave me the idea to do the same to mine. Any closeup pics or schematics would be great . Thanks
Do you have one that has Jerry can brackets mounted in front of the fenders on each side like a M416B1? I 've seen pictures from a distance on some but not up close. If you have a pic please post I'd like to put those brackets on mine. I have the jerry can bracket I'd just like to see what it'd...
I ran a long antenna wire to the back under carpet & used a flex antenna out of the top. There was a small hole there in the roof before. The cable had to be secured but it worked. A friend just mounted the antenna inside the rear left window on the rail in his M1009. Not sure of his reception...
I went to the battery as I did not want to put too much wiring to the box, I don't know much about electrical stuff & I wanted to keep that contact to a minimum. I used whatever gauge wire came with the stereo. I used the inline fuses provided. My 1984 blazer has teh stereo in it & it is stored...
I wrapped the main power wire of my pioneer tape deck/radio into a fuse on the fuse block (don't remember which one) then ran the auxillary (clock) power wire directly to the #2 battery used an 30 watt in-line fuse 6 years later and no problems.
Oh yeah I just ran blocked speakers to sit on...
RE: Hinges
Ontos,
I saw that too & considered it but I have since painted the trailer & am now getting ready to camo it I was going to try to put weatherstrip there & then cover it with either vinyl or a rubber covering of some kind.
Hinges
Mine had door hinges on it when I got mine. There was residue from the orignals but I cut all that off. As soon as I can Ill put some kind of cover like the original and keep teh door hinges on it. Will try to post a pic.
RE: tm
That is weird, I joined a long time ago but never posted until this thread. It is really weird that I joined before I was born. Is there anyway to change the join date?
