Thanks wolf. I am sure the two sections are from different scale models (the frame & chassis may have come from a third model) as a result the M35 part looks to be a 10 ton.
Thanks for the imput.
Nice score. You cangeta replacement handle from Austin Hardware. That is where I got mine for my Pioneer Trailer. Same type as yours probably was.

Nice looking truck. What shade tan is that and approximately how much did the AC run you? Where did you get it and how difficult was it to squeeze under the hood? Any pics? Sorry for all the questions but I would like to do that with one of mine.
Paint & etc.
I'll try lubing the cable this weekend. Me and my Dad have had this truck for a few years until I went ahead and bought out his half from him. The paints is the standard Gillespie paint; 34079 Forest green (not correct but matches my pioneer trailer), 911 flat black, the brown was...
Need help with recently acquired M35A2C the parking brake is disengaged and will not engage. The handle is all the way down and wiggles a little but will not pull up. Visual inspection underneath does not show and reason why it does not move. I tried adjusting the handle but nothing helps. Pics...
Wow.
Good grief !!! :!: If I could pull that kind of money for models I would, but my skills are no where near that of Verlinden. I can't imagine buying a model for the same price as an actual truck. Check his sold items someone paid $1000 bucks for a truck/tractor  :!:
I get...
Thanks
Thanks for the compliments, I've been working on models since I was a kid. We are making room for a second child so storage may be the only option unless we can wiggle more furniture around. The blackhawk is 1/35th Academy if I remember correctly. It was my first large scale aircraft...
I built this @ 20 years ago from two different models my Dad built when he was a kid. They are 2 different scales so it kinda looks like a 10 ton bobbed truck. The later half came from the atomic artillery transport not sure of the nomenclature. This ting rolls on the floor just like a die cast...
As Chris said above. Did you check the front of the starter? there should be a support bracket there to hold the front up. Otherwise it may be moving around eventually it will weaken the 2 main bolts and strip the threads in your block. (This happened to me) If this isn't it I don't have a clue...
Are you sure it is not 4800 miles? My 84 m1009 had a little over 3000 miles on it when I got it @ 10 years ago. It ran like new when I go it. My Dad suggested that may have been war reserve up until the first gulf war got going.
