How in this day and age do you not own a drill motor.
I'm thinking you need to give up your man card.
You have three options .
Go buy a drill motor, borrow a drill motor, go buy a smaller belt.
I'm hoping if you choose either of the first two choices your not going to ask how to use the drill motor.
It's your truck. So it's up to you where you put it.
To me I'd run the military hi back seats with the green or tan cordura. And I have a flat black truck.
Those seats look like there going to get real hot and sticky to the touch on a warm sunny day.
That and there is already minimal space to...
There is a whole lot of weirdness going on in that picture.
If that's where it is currently mounted it's in the wrong place.
If it's where you want to install it . wont it interfere with the rear door closing?
Also will the belt be long enough ? It's kind of low isn't it?
Funny you link your details to a historical club when the modifications go against anything remotely historical to the year of the vehicle you installed it into.
Most historical clubs try and keep the vehicles they represent as original as possible.
Not sure how many HMMWV's came from the...
Well since you all are talking about how big yours are.:naner:
Mine are 1/4" as well but where the 3 studs are that the steps and cans connect too there is an extra 1/4" thick plate .
Also I used the backing plates from the M1114 armor inside the vehicle and bolted into that to help stiffen up...
It's the nature of the beast.
Mine does same thing.
Sounds awful on first start up when cold.
Goes away after 30 seconds or so.
From what I remember the old 6.2 didn't make as much noise as the new 6.5 .
The only real way to tell the year of manufacture somewhat accurately is from the original 6 digit Vin #.
Since you don't have that it is really almost impossible to know.
Unlike most civilian vehicles that have markings in a few places on the frame and body.
If your vehicle still has the...
I would just call those jack rails .
They look nice.
The original jack rails and skid plates do the same thing as well as protect the floor a little bit.
BH
What is the number on your Montana title.
You can compare that number to the year and serial # list in the first sticky in the HMMWV section.
Something sounds kind of funny. I'd ask the guy you got the HMMWV from for the body piece with the data plate on it.
Did you buy the truck without a data...
