You can probably find out in the Tech manual section . it will have a wiring schematic.
I believe that one is for the lights.

I don't want to see this thread go sideways.
I'm still not clear how you can tell by looking at a picture how they look like guys who take advantage of a free meal.
I understand and respect you earned the right to wear the uniform. And once again I respect you for your service.
But what I don't...
First off thanks for your service.
I did look again and saw nothing other then a name , and a flag and a project 425 patch.
Looks like 2 guys that took the time to go pay tribute to people like you on veterans appreciation day.
Not sure how you established there eating for free.
Can you please...
I'm not going to try and answer for him. But if I were to guess because they kind of go with the truck. There comfortable, have great pockets , and are reasonably priced.
He isn't wearing any rank , He's not in my opinion disrespecting the uniform.
As long as he is carrying himself in a...
Porky.
Let it go.
They don't get it.
Stop feeding them.
In the name of trying to fix something that wasn't broke they will ruin it for everyone we are seeing it happen everywhere.
Step away from the keyboard.
Maybe by the time he hits 10 posts he will move on.
Another example of not letting the sleeping dog lie or somebody smacking the dam hornets nest.
I don't care what anyone says but to me
All of the recent BS related to FMV's is directly related to IP/ GP / GL selling HMMWV's again.
It's starting to domino down the line.
It's only a matter of time...
Ripsaw you left out the part of the letter where she said that when establishing the exemption the agency didn't expect the vehicles to be sold to civilians.
Hey Gimpy
LMK if you do ever want one I have one I'm not using anymore. I installed it on my HMMWV for a few months before I decided to switch to the military controller and wiring harness.

That was it in one of it's previous incarnations many years ago.
It is in the middle of another at the moment. I change it around often as I only have one HMMWV but many different parts and pieces.
I think of it as a Frankin HMMWV. It's a little bit of every thing HMMWV.

In a nut shell this is my take on the whole deal.
The original batch of HMMWV's got released at the original auction's late 90's and many registered for on road use. (There wasn't that many and it wasn't that big of a deal) They basically thought ok a few got out but we put a stop to it)
The...
I have to agree with RWH . I'd pass on it for that kind of money. I think you could get more truck for less money.
Do your homework.
Read through the entire sticky section at the top of the HMMWV section.
Good luck in your search.

Can't tell much from the data plate as to what year it is.
The data plate too me has some oddities to it.
There is no delivery date shown.
The different #'s shown on the Serial # line is odd with nothing shown on the registration line.
Odd sized rivets holding data plate on.
I'd say it's...
your frame rails are susceptible to rust. Roll around on a creeper tapping on them with a hammer listening.
Check out the second sticky in the HMMWV section.
You will find some useful info there.

You nailed the parts but left off the doors. What makes them hard to find nowadays is you can't buy them new off the shelf.
Most of the stuff gets chopped up before GL can sell them. Probably the hardest part is the turret support and related pieces.
Guys on the east coast want stuff from west...
