Oh, good catch! Now I'm just plumb confused. The engine I bought says it's a "small cam". "Formula 290" is on the intake manifold. So maybe it had a manifold swap, or maybe they've mislabeled it as a small cam. I guess I'll find out next week when I get it in the shop.

That contradicts every thread I've read (on this forum and others) about the NHC-250's in the past 24 hours. They all say do not exceed 200 psi. One went into detail about the size difference (2" vs 2.5") and how the smaller cam lobes tend to shear off. I'll stick with the majority on this one...

I spent all of last night reading thru 4 very long threads, and have them jumbled, so I'm not sure if it was written in this one or not but... DO NOT RUN OVER 200 PSI FUEL PRESSURE as anything more than 200 will shear off the cam lobes on the Small Cams. The 290 I bought is locked up, hence why...

Are those factory helper springs or aftermarket? I just bought a K30 that has 4 helper springs, but the leaf pack looks highly "rigged" as the bottom overload, as well as the 4 helpers, have all been crudely cut to length with an oxy/ace torch. I'm trying to rebuild the spring pack with another...
