    M1035 Help With Parts Identification

All good points gentlemen. I don't have it in my possession yet. But, I have looked at it in person and once I get it to my shop next week I will do a more in depth search. I have crawled under it and I didn't see anything glaring, but didn't think to look at the frame rails. No money has passed...

    M1035 Help With Parts Identification

For your viewing pleasure.....Someone was getting creative with welding. I see stuff like this and just shake my head and wonder what people were thinking and is this how they deal with their lives! Let's just say I "bought it right" so I don't mind putting some sweat equity into it.

    M1035 Help With Parts Identification

Thank you for the patient explanation! I "think" I understand! Like learning a new language. Any suggestions on where and who parts these out? I am realizing I need some mounting brackets for the arms as well.

    M1035 Help With Parts Identification

Thank you. I have noticed that about RF/LR being interchangeable. Another interesting thing is that I am finding RF arms no problem on the used market, but no luck with LF....still researching and trying to locate. Here is a pic of what I am dealing with. Let' just say, I enjoy a project and...

    M1035 Help With Parts Identification

Thank you for that. You have to realize I am not ex military and have no idea what the 2 abbreviations you used even mean! "UOC" "H20"??? Those things and references with initials are thrown around like people should just know what they are. I have no idea. And I was looking at numerous TM but...

    M1035 Help With Parts Identification

Hello All, I know I will be roasted for this, but I want to assure everyone I have really tried to dig into the archives/search and can't find what I am looking for! I just picked up a 1986 M1035. Front suspension is really rusted and need 2 upper control arms. Trying to figure out the...

    Mep 803a rebuild

I had a similar problem with an engine on my 803. Pulled head, soaked with numerous remedies. Nothing worked. Started looking close at cylinders. Once I removed rust, gunk with scotchbrite, found a vertical crack in one cylinder. The metal was distorted due to it being frozen/cracked and was...

    Solar Charging Question

Why would one disconnect the battery? If all switches/disconnects are working properly, there is nothing to draw the battery down. I leave mine connected, no trickle(even though I keep looking at them!) and I have been fine for over 2 years now. I run it maybe once a month.

Mep803a final hookup and first load test.

Engine sounds fine. I run mine with a load maybe once a month for about an hour or so. Once these things are up and running with all maintenance done, they start and run perfectly every time.

    Waterlogged 803a

Joe, I dropped the ball on getting back to you about this block. When I was diagnosing mine that was stuck, I waited a few days and couldn't take it anymore. I had a port power and a low profile mini ram. It only has a 2" stroke. Fabbed up some brackets, bolted them down with the head bolts and...

    Just another LMTV build thread

There is a guy in the northwest that has a bunch of videos on youtube about his build out. He just did one on the cab lock repair specifically. Can't remember his name but if you do an LMTV search I know you will find it.

    Amazing Machines

Yes, it is February, cold and I am bored! But, decided to exercise the 803 today. It was 28 degrees, haven't run it for over a month or so. Hit the glow plugs for 30 seconds or so, and bang it fired right up! No sputtering, a little smoke but cleared quickly. Hooked my space heaters up, got it...

    auction buyers

OK, I now see what Adelmans is. I will call them on Monday and inquire as to what they are setting a price at. From looking at other engines, they are "proud" of their inventory. This should be interesting....

    auction buyers

I still haven't heard from them. I can't imagine that whoever bought them would need that many. Or, what are they using them for? There seem to be quite a few lot's have come up as of late. I am going to reach out to GP again.

    auction buyers

Smoke-I did. The shipping quote is almost $300, so I am at $450(ish) for a questionable block. Trying to see if I am willing to gamble that $. I would think I could find a complete but stuck motor for that kind of coin. I'm not in a rush, so just looking at all the options. I wish there was a...
