The DoD only really runs JP fuels (JP -4/-5 /-6) when deployed, to keep the supply chain simplified (one fuel for everything in the inventory) hence the requirement. It's stenciled to prevent somebody from dumping mogas (gasoline) into the unit.

Never used it, but Eastwood makes decent stuff, as well as por-15 makes good stuff
Reach out to Mayi diesel and SRP Americas. They have a bunch of LPW 2/3/4 parts. I got my push rods and a bunch of other stuff through them for my MEP-803.
How close are you to your neighbor's house? I'd think an extended exhaust pipe to redirect gases, as well as an extension cord "olive branch" to your neighbor's house would go a long way.
I was getting smoke of that color all the time. I ended up having 2 cracked pistons so I replaced those and did all new rings. I do have 2 standard size ring sets left over as the new pistons came with rings if you need them.
no that works. I was thinking something along the lines of gutting an injector out and adapting the threads. But I was planning on tearing the engine down anyhow, so I ended up bypassing that project and going for new rings and pistons and the assumption that it would make compression upon...
I'm interested in what set up you used to get the compression tester to fit in the injector hole? I've got an HF diesel compression tester and I couldn't make it work to find my dead cylinders.
No idea, haven't even looked yet at the circuit, got other projects going on. It appears that a 24v strip light pulls around 40 watts of power. I'm assuming that the circuit should have that available as I converted the panel bulbs to led from incandescent bulbs. More research on my behalf needed
I was thinking the same thing as well, but was brainstorming about keeping things self contained within the unit. I figure it would be a 20-30 dollar project all in
I was thinking of installing white led strip Lights inside of my generator, tied to the panel light circuit. Figure if I could light up the housing in the engine bay and around the generator head I could do spot checks for leaks etc. during operation at night. What do you think?
I've just started using rivnuts, however placement is key as there is no "give" once they are secured. Furthermore, I'm going to attempt to use some ss torx pan head screws and washers next go around.
