For others info, I understand this is a Hyster Model H40XM and weights just under 9000 lb. I will be buying this and it appears it is an ex-military unit, so will try to post more info on it later.
I am told this is an ex-military forklift. I am considering buying it, but have to travel to look at it. I am wondering about transport weight and other issues. Anyone know anything about these? See the picture
Are these paints you all reference enamel, lacquer, water base, color coat clear coat? I am assuming enamel, but am not sure. It will be next year before my M37 gets new paint!
Hey Nattieleather, sorry but when I click on the attached video, it is "right side up". I don't know what to say? Dodge Man, I would be happy to talk with you about the issues found in this repower. i hope to put together a complete report when I get done. The engine and 5 sp. manual are out...
M37 Moose rebuild and repower
It has been awhile since I have posted anything on this rebuild! Lot's of family issues and other things going on, so the project sat for a while. I have put a few new pictures in my M37 Moose album on my SS profile. I could not get it to post the short video of...
haulling for old firetruck
Try this again! See attached pic of 55 Ford firetruck. May want to have it hauled from Portland, OR area to Duluth. Any chance of that, any idea on price?
Thanks
Sure wish I was closer to the action! It's a long haul from Juneau to Western WA. The trucks are mostly stored in Spokane. I am working again to get the M37 back together and on the road! Maybe by Arlington in July?
My FDC was bypassed when I got the truck and still is bypassed. I do burn a mix of diesel and used lube oil (at times) but I have installed a pyrometer so I can be sure that my exh temps don't get too high. The FDC regulated the fuel delivered based on density and most fuels that are more...
1937 Marmon-Harrington
I may have spelled that wrong, but the initial question asked was about the "Ford" on the trailer. I was up in Dawson Creek for the start of the AC12 convoy. I was told that this was a 1937 truck built up by Marmon-Harrington (with a few others) as a trial unit for the...
Chehalis tune up tips
Thanks to all those who gave me info on perking up the multi fuel. I had installed a pyro/boost gage so I was ready to try and get a little more power from the Grizz. I could not get over 900 degrees at any time the way it was set up. With some guidance from folks at...
Gail and I want to add our thanks to Aaron/Amber, Mike, Hammer and all who make this event happen! What a great chance to meet the on-line folks, swap info and stories and just enjoy a little comradeship. I hope to be able to attend again next year.
I have used Delo 400 15-40 in all our CAT generators at work for decades, in my Dodge diesels and now use it in my multi-fuel deuce. No problems, good oil!
