I need to jump the BO switch temporarily until I get a new switch. Which spades on the switch should I make a jumper and connect in order to get lights to come on?
Trying to find the schematic in the TM... but failing.
Well... driving the new to me M1009 about a week ago. Stopped to eat. Started back up and no lights. Hmmm... so I messed with the switch, up/down, etc. Nothing for a good 30 seconds, the bingo on they come. Cool.
Was fine until the other night. Waiting for someone with the truck running...
I think something to keep in mind is that these gear sets were not made with deuce owners in mind.
They were made as a gearing option to those that are swapping 2.5tons into their vehicles.
Guess you dont mud bog at all. Its gets in everywhere no matter how well you seal it all. But, you can help by using a nice grease.
You still didnt answer why grease would case the hub to not work.
And how do you figure that. I have done dozens upon dozens and never had one issue. Keeps the mud out also. Done this on Blazers, trucks... jeeps. All kinds. Warn hubs, stock hubs...
I find this almost comical.
Yes, I am aware of that. Just that all I have that DOES come on during normal driving is by the heater controls and the left turn signal. the wait light, water in filter, gen 1, gen 2 and oil light all come on at ignition. The right turn signal and the gauge lights are out all the...
I cant take credit for the picture. I believe it was Warthog that posted it originally. He did a nice thread describing it all.

Thanks, very nice. I think I will go with the 194 replacements from superbrightLEDs. Only because that is where I got them from when I did my motorcycle and they turned out real nice. And also, then I can get them all from one place.
From what I bought before... I think they will provide...
I am almost sure they are 194s in the dash. I just need to be sure. I was hoping I could order them today and have them for the weekend. But, I may have to wait until the weekend to get the bulb type... then wait until the following weekend to install them. With the way work is now... I can...
Yes, I am sure I can just go and get normal replacements. But, with LEDs being so cheap now... no reason to not use LEDs. I love them in my motorcycle. Geat light and will never have to mess with them again.
I found a couple threads... but not quite a complete write up. So... I hope by the time time I am done with this thread and also with the replacement in my truck... no one will have to search it all up again.

Spent my lunch hoping someone had done just this, but didn't find what I was looking for.
Half the bulbs in my M1009 that I just got are burnt out. So... I need to fix them. On my motorcycle, I replaced the gauge lights with LEDs and it turned out real nice. (cant find where I got them...
'85 M1008. 50k miles or so. All stock other than a set of 33s.
14mpg. Mostly two lane country roads and some highway. If I slowed it down some on the highway, it would probably come up. But, it seems like I am late or real excited to get where I am going each time I hit the highway with it.
