    Is my EESS fried?

He's referring to Ether or starting fluid as suggested by papakb. Does your truck turn over when you push the lever to run, or will it not crank at all? I had a similar experience when my truck showed up. They had to slave it to get it onto the transport, but it wouldn't start once it got...

HMMWV- Lights - Which wire to tap into

If you're not opposed to a COTS solution, check this out: http://www.thosemilitaryguys.com/lighted-license-plate-kit-v2/ Comes with the packard connector splice already in place, so it's just plug'n'play to the tail light wire, not cutting involved.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

No, they're bolted right onto the spindle.

    turn signal weirdness

I have LED front turn signals with standard bulb rear signals. With the light switch in Stop Light position my turn signals behave normally. With the switch in the Service Drive position (headlights on) the left front turn signal does not flash. The left rear does, and both right turn signals...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Little stuff over the weekend. I installed the updated, self-cancelling turn signal switch. It's great but the cancelling ring that screws into the steering wheel has too much flex in it so the pins were flexing out of the way when contacting the cancellation cam instead of actually...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I have the XD Series XD798 18" wheels with 37" Cooper Discoverer tires on mine. I like 'em.

    Blown hub output seal

My right rear hub output seal is blown and slinging oil on the inside of the wheel. I've ordered a new hub seal kit from eBay that includes the input and output seals, the spindle nut key washer and the plastic washer for the fill plug. A few questions: 1. Can someone point me to correct...

    Engine block heater

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FslvZndE7I The only terrifying part about this is punching out the freeze plug and hoping you don't lose it in the water passage.

Where can I find the short brackets for the floor to mount a radio shelf

Have one more set laying around?

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I installed a rear-view mirror so I don't feel so blind, and I took a razor blade to the overlay on the speedo because it was all torn and cloudy, so I very carefully cut away the clear center area and left the trailer and overspeed ranges. Looks way better now. Before I could barely see the...

    Hub gear oil change

Since this is a new-to-me truck, that's the plan. Thanks.

    Hub gear oil change

Getting ready to change my hub oil. What commercial product are people using for sealant between the cover and the hub? Permatex RTV Gasket for Gear Oil?

Removing rear shims to get the tires to ride vertical? Good idea?

Good to know. I'm tackling this today.

Mine are like \-/ as well. Big time.

Removing rear shims to get the tires to ride vertical? Good idea?

This is a great thread Shawn, thanks. I'm definitely going to do this because the inner tread block on my tires doesn't even touch the ground, so I'm definitely going to get some uneven wear on these $250/each tires. Time to pull some shims!

    Melting instrument cluster light lenses

Thanks Ryan. Do you have a source for the LEDs that you're using (the SuperBrightLED ones, not the ones that flickered).

    Melting instrument cluster light lenses
