MEP803a new to me, is leaking diesel. I filled with a little diesel (all I had on hand)
hit the dead crank switch, turned the master switch & it runs nice . except it was covered in diesel after I turned it off. (oil filter side only)
I plan to clean her up and pinpoint the leak, thought I’d...
@LightintheDark
I found mine laying inside the panel under a few wires . I’m thinking from unloading and slanting with An excavator bucket .
But I have a question, when FU1 is inserted (holder and all) is it supposed to be able to be pulled out easily (like if the set were angled when loaded...

It’s a new to me - ok I finally found some Shell Rotella here in south Texas , massive shortage . Not sure if that’s everywhere .
I topped it off , cranked right up - no problem . I had never noticed they were so finicky. it did not require much . Thanks again , for the...
@Light in the Dark my 803a is only starting when i did the above suggestion You posted
“Try this... the instant it starts, flip the battle short on. See if it still runs, and if the light illuminates. “

Figured id post this in generators. Since the 8 pin came with an MEP. Can someone please explain the uses, differences and specs between these two types of cables; aside from male female. Thank you.
It was running for 3 minutes and shut down on its own after surging. SOMETIMES it won’t do this it will run flawlessly, but then all of a sudden it will perform as depicted in the video.
Yes this is the factory Governor Controller
**UPDATE** I followed the directions sent to me and read the threads. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/mep-831a-wont-turn-off.203006/
still photographs are of the generator OFF
This is what’s happening now .
Is this the washer that you file a notch in ?
also , what does loosening this pad on top of the tank help with ? im confused about the “centering” directions.
Ok I see it , so I’d have to remove the inside panel to replace it ? Is it the same type of well nut as the one inside the fuel tank area . I have a spare for that .
Ok I see here, he did it without removing much
