I found a place that carries used 395's pretty cheap, but the owner of the place tells me that the military drills holes in the tires. Can the holes be repaired? And what are the best options for wheels. I've heard that stock will work...
I had it on the calendar to attend, but I found myself with scraping up someone to fix my sick A/C at home and then I had tire shopping for the Tahoe on Saturday and a 5K race commitment on Sunday.
At least my truck should be finished for next year's event.

My truck has "Diesel Only" stenciled above the tank. Does this mean that something was modified on the truck that would prevent me from running oils? The fuel tag in the cab is still there.
I believe it is more of a traction issue when the rope is running up the tree. When you are in reverse you have 8 tires solid on the ground while the front 2 are being pulled upward when the rope tightens. If you pull in forward, it would have tendency to give you less traction with the back...

Still juggling my work schedule. But there is a chance I can make a ride there for an afternoon. Will likely not bring my deuce though. It is currently in a state of partial dismantle for rust repair and primer/paint. Probably will not finish it in time to drive it.
That was sort of my original plan. I was just hoping to find something one of you guys did that strikes my fancy with the color info so I'm not buying paint to test colors. Call me cheap!!
