I found a guy that is getting in a load of 395's in the next week or so. He has both the Michelin and Goodyear in 395-85R20. I spoke with him last week and he said that he would put together a good set of used (80%+ tread) tires for about $160 - $175 each (depending on actual tread wear. His...
GL-1 gear oil is available at most auto part stores.
Check for proper fluid levels first.. Tranny, T-Case and Diffs... Remove the plug shown, add oil until it over flows and reinstall the plug..
Can do better than that....
How about a whole thread with information... Date, location, attendees, activities, etc....

I would definitely buy a glad connector air hose for the ride home. Plug it in to the truck air system and use it to air up the tires.. I bought one off of ebay and it works great. Check the tires regularly on the trip home. I know a guy who drove an A3 400+ miles after sitting flat on 3 tires...
Great post trail boss!! I am not comfortable with a long-haul recovery of more than say 3 hours. I would feel comfortable driving one that I was able to confirm, either from preview or post auction preparation. And then I would definitely want a chase vehicle with a bunch of tools, batteries...

There was a thread in here a few weeks ago started by the company that builds the CTIS systems with contact and support information. Search for that thread amd contact them.
Oh yeah.. He specifically said they are not to be used on vehicles that are run on roads. The rock crawling crowd love this guy because of his prices on the drilled tires..
He did say that he is expecting 40-50 395's on rims late next week from a GL auction minus the drill holes.. Michelins...
Putting a $30 check in the mail for 2 Large Today... Sorry so late.. I'm in Luling so you should get it by Monday or Tuesday.. Still don't know if I can actually attend though... Trying to make room on the schedule..
I just came from there and you cannot see where the tire was drilled after they repaired it. The guy said they usually ship the drilled tires to South America and Europe. In fact, most of the military tires he buys end up in South America. He has a bunch of 11x20's but just shipped off the last...
