AB Linn has mirrors. Arms show up from time to time. Just this weekend there was a bunch of arms and mirrors at the Aberdeen show. Both mirrors and arms were used on several vehicles.
A year long project to restore the S-144 shelter and all the equipment inside. The shelter was stripped of all equipment, repaired and painted. Everything inside was bench tested and repaired. New wiring to replace the rotted stuff and other items were scrounged from surplus sites. You can see...
We, the 129th, were attached to the 414th for TDY in 69 or 70 at Ft. Meade. I was also there in 68, and 71 but just for a few weeks. Those in the pictures were from the 129th Sig Bn. Were you at Meade? I think the 414th was in Germany sometime during those years also.
I remember the guys I was first with but not these names, just faces. I do remember the guy in the white T shirt got hurt. He was firing a M1919 .30 cal machine gun and had a stoppage. He forgot the rules "pull the charging handle" and opened the breech cover. A "cook off" round exploded in...

I know several people that have...
All the equipment in the shelter is original military so it's all 24 volt. And, no, while you can certainly run the 12 volt stuff on one battery, its not a good long term solution. You will shorten the battery life due to one battery underchanging and one overcharging.
Radio Club Visit
I took the M-715 and the AN/GRC-142 "up the mountain" to the tower site for our QCWA picnic. We worked some 20 meter stations and received a bit of Canadian military RTTY, just for a demonstration. All on the 15 foot whip and truck power. I had enough fun getting up there...
