I'm not quite sure what your trying to suggest here. It sounds like you want to not worry about the outter seal and let oil in as per "original design" but you said it would NOT be okay. Just a bit confused.
Either way I dont know ANYTHING about 16 spline rockwells but I cant see how the...
My 2cents ? Even though you are done and it probably will work just fine. How much is a new outter seal? I think i paid 6ish bucks. Seems worth it to me to just have it be new. The inner isn't too important as far as I see it however I had a few inner bearings that were stubbern and I used the...
Well after taking the day off and getting ready to buy a reo I called the gentleman and he would not answer his phone. I checked craigslist, the ad was no longer there. And he just updated it yesterday. I sure its gone. I hope one of you guys got it.
They are pretty hard to identify. Mine all just looked like some crud in the keyway if you knife it a bit you can telk its cork... Unless of course its just a glob of rtv.
70.... I guess I need some giant tires and maybe a diffrent 5th gear. I thought about getting the two going and driving her home but I figure by the time it has its brakes fail and runs into a schoolbus full of children I would save at least a few hundred bucks having someone throw it on a...
I don't know if I can afford to drive a gasser that far. But I might drive my a2 with a dump bed on it. If I do a dump bed on it then I will have to buy another one that doesn't have a dump bed. But this is a addiction
Well good then your more than welcome to go buy it. The ole codger said he put new wheel cylinders on it and rebuilt the master cylinder but hast put everything back together. And the last time he used the dump hydraulic fluid startes pouring out of somewhere but doesn't know where.. and it...
No. I haven't made it down there. I might try to bail on work early and head down there. But I sure don't want to get stuck on that island if I miss the last ferry.. so it might not be till tomorrow. I just hope some crack head doesn't buy it before me to haul it to scrap. Sure would be a shame
I think it could be towed with a deuce... But it would make for a real long trip I would imagine. I guess its a big ferry according the the owner and it shouldnt be a problem.
Yea. Your probably about the same distance as me. Im going to try to get there tomorrow but that ferry schedule sure makes it hard on me. I figure worst case I have a dump bed and ram and offer it to any SS guys to have
Im sure you guys have all seen the 51 reo for sale on cl. I think Im going to buy it. Im not sure why. But I needed a dump truck. Anyone want a job hauling the thing to me?
Thank you for your efforts patracy. I dont ever email support when this kind of things happen. But I came very close. Withdrawl is very powerfull. Im sure you were flooded
I don't quite agree with this. The temp in the exhaust manifold is quite often higher than inside the cylinder. The gases are still burning was they leave the cylinder into the manifold. However I do agree that cooler is better. My truck also seems to run hotter that I would like. The FDC is...
Mine made quite clatter and always bounced out of the holes. Maybe because the top wasnt tight enough to keep pressure? I would say you need them unless you want a few gallons of water making a large belly above your head. It also might flap around violently.
I was looking at a deuce 8 hours away from me by regular vehicle. Not ever having delt with one I kept putting off actually going and buying it. It claimed to be a pretty solid truck, with air assist steering, newer bows and top, blah blah tons of extras and bells and whistles. I was too worried...
