I recently installed a 9 inch lift on my M109 and I thought it would be wise to have backup camera to use a rear veiw mirror. Basically something that would mount above my hitch and run all the time so I could see behind me for traffic or if I have to backaround alittle in a parking lot, things...
I like the grenade idea, I have a short belt of live ammo out of a 249SAW around the shifter of one of my rigs. A freind of mine used a 338 lupa casing to make a "t" handled shift knob in the truck he uses to guide hunters.
It would be fun to do some type of a drive, off road or on a trail of some kind, when we all get together. Make it a day event with a meet a greet in the morning and then some sort of a mid day run and a late afternoon or evening BBQ or meal at a Steak House as a group. Make it something more...
Maybe try 1919a4.com, I have a full set of Machinist Plans for the Full Auto M2 but unless you have a FFL 07/02 like I do I would not be comfortable sharing them.
You lost me, isn't it cold there 8 months out of the year :D ?
I'd be all for a MN event but I dont think I could do anything prior to the 1st of the year. It would be nice to have something in the midwest most of the other events are a long ways away for many of us.
I found that if I used more then 1 word I would get alot of things that where not really related to what I was looking for, after searching threw alot of stuff here and around the net and I did find a few threads that were very helpful. In the end I talked to a few guys that had made them in the...
I have been searching the site for info about adaptor plates, I am considering making my own. I though Id try and find the guys who made the m35/hemmet rim plates in the past and see it they had any tips. I had emailed a couple guys who I found on the site who have made them and had them for...
Get out the tape and start measuring, when I cut mine ( dont rember the exact numbers or I would share) I figured for the rear bumperettes and I made sure my Tail gate would hang strait, Kinda wish I had removed the bumperettes and just went with lights and hooks on the back. I have no...
The arm that bent was not the orginal arm, it was a basically a small part to allow me roll the truck around my yard so it wasnt in the way, theres no way I would drive it on the road with a light duty part made out of scrap I had around the shop.
Im sure the extra length does create more stress on the bolts but I have never heard of them failing. I made a temp steering arm out of 4inch wide 3/8 A36 steel to move the truck in and out of my shop, I managed to bend it because I turn the wheels without them rotating and that was with just...
Does anyone here build custom steering arms for dueces with a lift kit? My M35a2 has a 9 inch lift and was wondering if anyone would consider building me a custom arm? I have a custom shop who is about 90 miles away that thinks they can do it but they would like for me to trailer the truck to...
I capped mine off, I chose to lift this one and so I expect to never pull a trailer and unless I do some serious mods to a 105 the angle of the hitch would be pretty ugly. Its all pretty basic stuff, should I ever change my mind, flare and re install.
I have my 8 inch lift installed but I still need a steering arm, I though I would ask here rather then starting a new thread, I would like to see what other have done. How did you guys do your steering arm after adding a lift?
I am about finished with installing my 9" lift on my m109, if your thinking about doing a lift be prepared, its alot of work. its not hard to figure out but you will find that a duece is plenty heavy on the front end. Check out Blackrocks post on his lift kit, I more or less copied Kyle's idea.
I ran my bobber without the rear shaft alittle right afte bobbing it. It handeled poorly but it will get you from A to B. I can see it being a problem at low speed on a road that is not busy with traffic. Keep you fingers and thumbs out of the steering wheel like always but if you forget the...
