You'll need some method of synchronizing the two generators before connecting them together. If they're out of phase when you turn on the breaker on the 2nd generator, the huge current surge will trip the breaker immediately. Sewerzuk made a nice video about how to do it that you should be...
I'd start by measuring the voltage at the appliances that don't work correctly when they're having the problems. Maybe for some reason the voltage at these appliances is out of the range that they want to see.
Another thing that comes to mind is that maybe only one side of the 240 is getting...
In normal run mode, two pumps are plumbed in series, and are both energized. When using an auxiliary tank, the third pump is also constantly energized. The float switch in the built in tank controls a solenoid valve that allows fuel from the aux tank to be pumped into the built in tank. When...
Angret, you'd probably get more attention if you started a new thread, but the main battery cables on an 003A are WAY bigger than #10 wire, so I don't think you have found the ones that connect to the battery.
Yes, it looks like you have DC charging now. With some run time, the battery voltage should reach something over 28, and level off before 29. As the charge current levels off, the yellow LED on the regulator should start coming on to let you know.
The neat thing about the design is that it's the spring that does the pumping and the solenoid that causes the return stroke, so the pressure is constant, and if the flow is blocked, it takes a while for the spring to push the piston through its stroke, so the pump slows way down and draws less...
Correct.
That's actually two transformers that are mounted against each other, with wires looped through both. If you look at the schematic of the system, one is CT1 and the other is CVT1. They're both critical to the generator's operation. CVT1 is the magnetic amplifier that the AC...
I bought some property from a neighbor a year or so ago. We got together and agreed how much the payments would be, and when I'd make them, and we had a lawyer write it up. I kept up my end of the deal and got the deed when it was done.
I don't pretend to be a lawyer, so obviously do your own...
Actually, a replacement regulator will have two wires coming out of its top that go to the fuse holder. The terminal block should have the two battery charging alternator's stator wires and the 24v wire out to the battery on the bottom three terminals. The regulator connects to those wires via...
I've been told that you can't get an FHA loan if the road to the property isn't paved all the way! Sorry you're having trouble. Any chance the seller knows about this and might be willing to work out an agreement with you directly?
You're doing a great job of getting this generator back in working condition. Keep it up!
The bottom photo shows where the DC regulator should be, but it's missing. It bolts through the three holes. The two stator wires connect to it, and it has two wires that go to the fuse holder, and also...
That's an interesting collection of motorcycles. I'd love to see the R-23 running! I'll end my hijack, but it's always fun to find out our other hobbies overlap.
