The electric winches should get the job done. The factory GarWood is only rated for 10,000 lbs and they break the shear pin or worse if you exceede that rating.
The GarWood has 210 feet of "cable" while the Warn has 75 feet. That is the major downside that I see.
I understand the term not repairable. It usually means they want you to remove and replace.
As for not repairable by human hands I would have to say at this point if a human built the machine that built the part we are still in the loop and should be able to fix it. If it's glued or welded...
It might be available. I would have to talk to dad. He was gonna use some parts off of it but he might sell it. PM me if you all are serious and I can get you in touch with dad.[thumbzup]
I would go $100 ea if they were in really good shape and had most or all of the tread. They work well dualled up but I don't like them singled. It's like haveing 9.00's singled. Sounds like you want 395's. They are 46". I paid 200 ea for mine from Hundy. That was over a year ago and I bought 8...
I can bob it for you Tired Iron. Got the shop and all the tools. We have cut down truck frames and stretched them as well. We have done a ton of custom stuff. I am getting ready to bob a couple for myself and I have a few friends that want one. I was going to kick the bobbing business into high...
For that matter unbolt the fifth wheel and get a take off M35 cargo bed. Then you don't have to bob it and you have 12X8 feet of cargo bed instead of 9X7 and a wheel well that will look out of place. I bet no ones done that before to a M915.
And you should need a CDL due to the full airbrake...
Can you still put the ammo box lid over the top of the batteries? They looked too tall in the picture. That looks pretty sweet. How do the 6TL's fit in the box?
You get seeds for that money tree and I will plant a whole field of them for all of us here on the farm.
Did you :grd: yet Hundy? Inqueiring minds want to know.
I have done my fair share of these over a 30 gallon drum. After a while I got smart and asked a couple good friends for help. Then dad and I stumbled upon a tire machine for $350. What a deal. It's a rim clamp style. I have even been doing my 395's with it. The bead breaker won't pop the bead...
Why not have your cake and eat it too. Have a stock deuce and a bobber. Problem solved. Done and Done.
Seriously though that's what I'm gonna do.
Finer than frog hair.
I like it. That is a super straight truck. I would hate to take it off road and bend it up though. Nice lift blocks. I see you retained the overload springs from the M-105. How did you make spring pads off the frame for that?
I have found them for about $2600 all set up. You can get them 12 or 24 volt. They are Warn Industrial winches. The biggest they make,18000lb. winch, comes with 75 feet of cable. What I have been told is you really need the auto winder to go with the winch or the cable gets messed up on the...
