Seeing that the weak part of the tailgate crank is the new pot-metal clutches that are being sold by LMC and the like, I had a thought.
How many M1009 owners would be interested in a crank clutch if it was machined out of billet aluminum?

I replaced my yoke about a year ago because the original one was rusted and th rear seal on the transfer case hardened and cut through the rust leaving a cut in the yoke where it would leak.
So a few days ago I noticed tranny fluid on my driveway... Turns out that the rear plug on the yoke came...

While removing the old radiator I could not detach the oil cooler lines from the radiator. So I detached them from the flexible part of the line... I was able to remove the lines but the nut on the line will not turn so I had to rotate the whole line.
I have soaked them in PB Blaster and...
I am going to swap out my water pump and radiator and put in a block heater this weekend.

Thanks

Anyone know what the color code is for the paint that is on the military Helos?
I drove by our local HD dealer and there was a chinook and a blackhawk in the parking lot... they almost looked black.
I think it was some sort of CARC but not sure... it was flat and very dark.
I started the "oil pump" thread. I am starting this new one because of what I found.
I have been gettingthis whine/buzz sound when the truck is cold... it lasts until it warms up. It only does it under load.
This morning I had my wife power break the truck so I could locate the sound...
I am putting a temp gauge on my tranny and I bought the weld in threaded bung for the probe.
I'd like to get a second pan so I can weld in the bung then do the pan swap in one shot.
Does anyone have a spare pan that they don't want?
How did this guy do this?
It doesn't look like it is lifted and it still has the original running
What is the easiest way to accomplish this? Is it worth it? How does a bias-ply tire really ride at hwy speeds?
Has anyone noticed what I have?
Lately, the diesel exhaust coming from my truck smell like a kerosene lamp/heater. In fact, I can't smell any diesel exhaust.
Am I just crazy or has something changed in the diesel fuel?
I seem to have a fuel leak that wasn't there a week ago. It is dripping from the torque converter cover.
When increasing the fuel rate I replace the sealing washer on the guide rod and the cover gasket... but it is still leaking.
Can someone clue me in to any common fuel leak areas?
Thanks
