Does anyone on the list have a transmission temp sensor and gauge? Searching on the net it looks like you either use the drain plug or pop a hole in the pan and braze in a threaded plug. I'd rather not pop a hole in my pan. Is there a better option?

I bought a new rear main seal and read about changing it by removing the oil pan and rear main... I am taking out the transmission to be rebuilt Question: Can I change the rear mail seal WITHOUT removing the oil pan when the transmission is out? Or is removing the pan a must either way?

Does anyone know if the 2wd version of the TH400 is the same as the 4wd except for the tail? I am looking for a core to build and there are tons of 2wd versions and I noticed that the tail bolts on. Maybe take off the tail and change the output shaft???
