How does one tell if the injector pump is going bad?
I just install a new banks turbo and followed the instructions to turn up the pump.
It says to turn it 1/4 turn... well I got it to turn maybe 3/16 and it stopped. I drove it around and noticed that it seems to fall off around 5/6 psi on...
I have an electric fuel pump and have not been using the mechanical pump.
I am installing a block off plate...when removing the oem fuel pump, the rod that pushes the pump slides down to the edge of the block on the inside.
Can the push rod be removed thru the hole in the side of the block...
Has anyone used the npg evans waterless/zero pressure coolant?
I sold some WVO to a guy last week and he he was running it. He actually drilled a hole in his radiator cap.
Just curious if anyone one has and what they think.
Well, after being ripped off trying to buy a used banks system and then looking for another one... I started to add up all the different pieces that are usually missing from a used system and I decided that the best option would be to buy new.
So, I bit the bullet and picked up a new Banks...
Does anyone make a bikini top for the m1009 that just covers the rear passenger seat?
I'm not looking for the complete rear to be covered with roll-up windows and a roof rack... just something that covers the rear seat so I can take the top off when we go to the trails and the passengers won't...
My commute is about 9 miles and I take the 35 mph route with traffic, lights etc... during this trip my coolant temps get to and maintain about 195°-200°.
On Saturday the outside temp was about 90°-ish. I filled the small utility trailer (about 500 lbs) with trash from the basement (another...
I am 6'2" and working on the engine compartment can sometimes be a PITA. Especially when trying to reach something near the rear of the compartment.
I find myself standing on the shackle mounts sometimes and barely having a toe on it.
So I made these and I thought I'd share
I found the...
I just finished up the rear main seal... Who ever said it was easy.... you are correct... it is just a PITA
So I buttoned it all up, add new oil and filter and started it.... then I get this very loud BLUB-BLUB-BLUB sound. I shut it off and looked around. Couldn't see anything.
I started it...
So, it turns out that the rope rear main seal was intact and doing fine. My leak was the rear pan gasket.
I was planning on the rear main seal so I am doing it anyway.
I pulled one half of the rope out with ease. The other is stuck
What are you guys using to push the rope out from the other...
Does anyone on the list have a transmission temp sensor and gauge?
Searching on the net it looks like you either use the drain plug or pop a hole in the pan and braze in a threaded plug.
I'd rather not pop a hole in my pan. Is there a better option?
I bought a new rear main seal and read about changing it by removing the oil pan and rear main...
I am taking out the transmission to be rebuilt
Question: Can I change the rear mail seal WITHOUT removing the oil pan when the transmission is out? Or is removing the pan a must either way?
Does anyone know if the 2wd version of the TH400 is the same as the 4wd except for the tail?
I am looking for a core to build and there are tons of 2wd versions and I noticed that the tail bolts on.
Maybe take off the tail and change the output shaft???
Is there anyone in Kansas city that has experience in rebuilding a TH400?
I am going to rebuild mine and experience would be good to have on hand.
Thanks
