mangus,
Agreed... but my point was to all the comments that have been posted with regards to the pintle.
Any time the pintle is mentioned someone will inevitably state that the pintle is not rated for heavy towing and you have to get a class III frame mounted hitch. Or else you will rip...
I still don't get it... I know what the "rating" is, but if you look at how that pintle is mounted, it is mounted to the frame... not just the bumper.
it bolts to the 1" bat that bolts between the lift points. Plus there is a plate behind it that bolts directly to the frame.
How is that not...
Has anyone used the npg evans waterless/zero pressure coolant?
I sold some WVO to a guy last week and he he was running it. He actually drilled a hole in his radiator cap.
Just curious if anyone one has and what they think.
Wrong? About what? Probably not.
I looked into doing it that way... I just didn't want to spend the time with the mod. I had read some install threads and it was more than I wanted to tackle.
Something about one of the injectors being too long... then getting a shop to make a decent 3"...
20mm is what I use. I took off one of the clamps on the end and welded on two hinges and on the clamping side (front) I welded on a pad lock hasp.
I can open it with one hand and not have to put the top somewhere and it will lock when needed.
It fits great and looks like it was made to go...
Dude... that is WAAAAAYY over my head. I'd love to have all that done but man.. $$ and time I don't have.
Pretty cool.. I'd like to see the finished product.
Well, after being ripped off trying to buy a used banks system and then looking for another one... I started to add up all the different pieces that are usually missing from a used system and I decided that the best option would be to buy new.
So, I bit the bullet and picked up a new Banks...
WOW!!! ... $9k... ouch.
Simple Centrifuge ...putting a centrifuge in every garage!
I have one of these. I filter ALL of my WVO in it. I have even filtered some waste oil and diesel that got mixed. Works like a charm. I have over 5k miles on one WVO fuel filter and still going.
This thing...
After thinking about it a bit more, I don't disagree with you. The only thing left is I'd have to have this thing sitting around to use it each summer... thus it becomes a play thing for my kids...
hmmm...
A buddy here in the office suggested that... my question would be, would a fiberglass top really provide protection?
Also, I'd like to make and install a single roll bar near the rear of the rear seat. Something that would definitely add protection.
Does anyone make a bikini top for the m1009 that just covers the rear passenger seat?
I'm not looking for the complete rear to be covered with roll-up windows and a roof rack... just something that covers the rear seat so I can take the top off when we go to the trails and the passengers won't...
you could unplug the controller card, cut the blue (i think) wire and ground it to manually activate the glow plugs.
as long as that wire DOESN'T hit ground , the plugs will remain off.
I found it for $215 All Aluminum ... they have several locations around the country but I got lucky.. they have one in my area

Thank you for...
How do you tell if it is clogging? And how did you clean it?
I can see some build up on the edge of the tubes when I drained the system to swap the crossover tube. It didn't look like is was sealing any of them.
Is that radiator a standard one or something special because of the Military...
