Question I notice that my crank pully is wobbling after I did a oil change and a fuel filter change. Do you have to drain the oil to change the front seal
Right am not saying the Lucas is why it lasted so long I don't use it in my cars either. Just plain oil. I think modern oil has all the right stuff to make a engine last a long time.
Well am not sure if the Lucas oil stabilizer is crap or not my grandpa uses it in a 95 ford explore and just rolled 300,000 on it with just regular oil changes and tune ups. Never had to any engine trouble with it. Good engine or the Lucas stuff not sure. Fuel additives I use in my power stroke...

No i dont own a multimeter. I.know alot about diesels i have a 1986 ford 6.9 4x4 one ton.and a 2001 ford 7.3 f 250 4x4 on my.01.my relay went out but the light didn't come on at all
Went to start my 1008 and the wait came on but would not trun off and my truck.wont start. Just turns over dont even try to start. I live in michigan and the temp was about 20 out and i waited about 3 mins and the light never turned.off. could use some help were to.start
No i dont no anything about these trucks i learned from here that they are 24v. Sorry i sound so dumb. Sorry about using the word help. Just didnt want to burn the truck to the ground. My old plow truck had two alternaters it was a ford 6.9 diesel and it was all 12v just trying to.learn
My question is are the glow plugs 24v on 1008 i am buying my dads from him has 30000k runs great just trying to learn as much as i can about it. I been reading but i am confused now so are the plugs 12v. Is it just the starter that is 24v. Were can u get replacement 24v parts. I live in Michigan...
I was wondering what manual trans will fit in my 86 1008 would like something to bolt right up with out having to do anything major i know I will need a clutch pedal I would like a 5 speed if there is something is it a hydraulic style.
