    Stupid Bosch Security Screw…

Thank you. I hoped an adjustment would not get very involved. Since I do not have a metric tap, are two screws really required? Thanks again!

    Stupid Bosch Security Screw…

Hi all, Wanted to add a little bit of fuel to my A2 on a budget. I read up about backing off the rack adjustment screw, and decided to give that a try. The tamper proof screw on the cover to that adjustment screw ruined my day after I mangled it, and the stud got stuck in the pump housing. Can I...

    M985 No Air Pressure

My 1991 5 ton was fitted with an auto purge, under the rig. When it did not seat, I could not build air press. Your air comp needs to unload, by keeping the intake valves from closing so it can "coast" at pressure (lines confined to comp, or a line from purge valve back to comp.). If your comp...

    Engine warmer

Drain oil. Pull plug- side pan on drivers side. Install 120 volt heater in place of plug. I think mine was "KATS" or some such. Secure jumper wire neatly and plug in as reqd. Unplug pre start up to save heater. Fleat trucks and busses may wire in a kill switch to watch oil press or some such...

you might want to note that your oil pan is probally already set up for a aftermarket oil immersion heater.

Gaskets -- do you make them or source them already made?

You had good advice- stop by local auto parts store. Buy gasket punches (hole) as reqd. Tip- punch before final trim- extra meat prevents tear out and put end grain up of a wood block in your vice to punch holes against. They make cutters that work like a big compass for LARGE holes, but you can...

230 mopar head taped , gasket

Hi all. Changing gaskets and noticed my no. 6 cylinder (area on head) was tapped clean thru to combustion chamber and tapped off (top) with a pipe plug. Thought little of it, till checked my "parts head" and noticed same. Was this a tap for compressed air or something? Also- I know modern...

    Windshield wipers

Nappa 6-1850. bit long, but you can hack saw so works even better than millitary 14 in. Anco also has them. Nappa one is solid beem like military, but black (harder for Ruskies to spot) Anco made ones are sstainless like came on my truck. Bottom line- pull ity bitty bolt and bring it into a...

    Staggered Tire sizes possible?

Thanks to both for the fast replies. Won't chance it. Thought 395's were closer to 14- 20's in diameter.

    Staggered Tire sizes possible?

Hi all. Have a 1991 A2 with 1400-20 tires. Understand that they are getting hard to get surplus good as obsolete and 395's generally recommended substitute. I'm asking if 395s on front and 14-20s on rears might be a budget friendly stop gap as a front blowout looks by far to be the most scary...

    M923A2 Cummins belts

Those have been availiable in industrial catalogs for years- Usefull when belts roll in extream applications. I'd avoid unless you are rolling your belts. If ya are- I'd fix that, or get name brand regular belts. Just free advice from a retired marine engineer type.

    M920 starting issues.

Did you try the shifter? Sounds like neutral start may be a issue. Costs nothing to move it a few times (shifter) and tru it again.

    Winch Lubrication Level

These have 2 "sumps", correct? Passenger side (hyd motor) and Drivers side (cross-shaft, etc). I did look over the Lube Order best I could. Do not see how cross shaft is lubed if oil level is not held high in drivers side. Thanks for any help!
