Newbie, I know the military is using a form of Rhino Lining on their fuel tank trucks / trailers. I read about it in the link at the original post, and it seems pretty cool! I haven't read about it being used on regular cargo type trucks though. You would think it would be more common...
Heath, Thanks for the information. I haven't heard of that product. I found a picture of a truck on the internet that has an awesome paint scheme. The truck is owned by a business in KS and I'm going to "copy" their paint scheme. I decided to go ahead and order a gallon of product from...
I have been researching all of the major brands and from what I've read, Line-X seems to be the best brand of them all, but it is also the most expensive and is not do it yourself. From what I've read, the monstaliner appears to be the best do it yourself brand on the market. You're right...
Silly me, I searched the "Paint and Bodywork" forum, instead of the Deuce forum. That is one BRITE truck though, I wonder how the color has held up since he painted it?
I've seen a growing trend in the 4x4 and off road community where people are using spray-on or roll-on bedliner products to paint the exterior of their vehicles. Most of the vehicles are Jeeps, and they are being marketed as having a "Kevlar" covering. I was curious if the US Military ever...
That's awesome!
I've told my 12 year old daughter she isn't allowed to date until she turns 30.... I guess if a guy shows up driving a DEUCE as nice as yours, I'll have to make an exception!
Well done Brad!
The Military Vehicle Club of North Texas is holding a meeting this coming Saturday (May 11, 2013) at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will be at the Golden Corral in North Richland Hills, Texas. The address is 7660 Boulevard 26 (Corner of Boulevard 26 and Roger Line Road, just south of Loop 820)...
Welcome to Steel Soldiers! I'm on the north side of Fort Worth, so we're practically neighbors! I work in North Richland Hills, and am familiar with HEB area, but not sure where Gizzard Gulch is.... LOL
Any questions, shoot me a private message!
Keith
Thanks chgofiveo,
I think the bottom line to the question asked by this thread is that there are many different ways you can paint a military vehicle and it's pretty hard to mess up the paint job on one.

Keith
jjb,
Here is a diagram of the 4 battery and 2 battery set up.
My 2cents, I bought a M923 last year and when I went to recover it, the manager of the site where the truck was parked offered to sell me 4 new batteries (cheap brand) for his cost. I bought 4 batteries for $45 a piece, $180...
Welcome to Steel Soldiers Nick. If you've been working as a mechanic since you were 6, you probably have the skill to keep up with your new truck. If you have an issue or question, its probably been asked here several times, just search and you'll find the answer. This site also has all the...
I enjoyed meeting you guys and look forward to next year. I'll have my truck up and running and will plan on coming down to camp out with y'all. Us guys from the DFW Metroplex all made it back home safely, glad to hear y'all did too! Til next year, y'all be safe!
When you decide to bid on an item on GL, you place your highest bid amount and the system automatically bids for you. If the item starts at $150, and you place a MAX bid of $2000, when you place your bid, the price will rise to $170, and remain there until the next bidder places his bid. If...
You should be just fine! I had mine parked in the driveway for 3 months, until the city of Fort Worth told me to move it. (That was discussed in another thread....auaaua).
I'm not a structural engineer, but I had not problems with mine damaging the concrete driveway.
