I took the truck out for a good run today. About 75 miles round trip mostly on 4 lane highway. When I first start it up the mech gauge doesn't come right up. It takes maybe 2 or 3 seconds for it to jump up to about 60 or 70 psi. While warming the truck up before my trip I applied the...
I installed a mech gauge this weekend. What a difference. I haven't taken it out and run up to operating temp yet but did allow it to idle up over 120 degrees. It never dropped below 58-59Psi. On revs it will push up over 110Psi. I feel much better about the oil pressure issue. Awesome...
Hey guys thanks for all the help. Got out there and messed around with it today. Turned out to be the connection at the gauge.
One thing though. How in the heck do you get the wire off of the sending unit. Don't need to do it now but maybe in the future. It absolutely will NOT come off.
Guys I have a new problem and it couldn’t come at a worse time.
I have exited corporate America and have decided to put the deuce to work hauling off junk and debris for a while. Please visit WWW.JRBAMATEX.COM .
Anyway I had my first load today and as I am prone to do almost obsessively I...
Good point. A little data might be helpful.
I got the lights at Northern Tool because I knew that I had seen Peterson Piranha lights on the rack there. The reason I wanted the Petersons was because when I got the little side marker light as the sacrificial tester at Auto Zone it was a...
Success!!! I have added LED trailer lights including side markers and it all works great. I added a vehicle end 7 pin connector to the end of my deuce trailer connector and everything works like it came from the factory that way. I made this waaay to complicated to start with. The simple...
Great news... I think. I went and picked up a random 12vdc marker light LED at the Auto Zone today. I hooked it to the trailer light connector on the deuce and it worked just fine. I figured I would risk a $7 marker light before blowing out a $50 set of tail lights. Now that the marker...
Sorry for going dark on you guys. Took my son out to the deer lease to mess around for a couple days. Fishing shooting and motor cycles. I think he had a pretty good time.
Anyway, thank for all your help and input there are some really great ideas on here. I like the voltage regulator...
Guys I need help, input, guidance, hand holding or what ever will work.
I have figured out the pin out on the trailer light hook up on my Deuce. I have created a nifty new trailer light connector from the connector piece that I found in the truck when I got it and a four pin flat trailer wire...
Is the winch running on 12 or 24VDC? Any special electrical work required? I'd like to do something like this only place the winch up in the bed for pulling heavy stuff of ramps when I don't have any help.
I am sure this has been posted somewhere but I haven't found it. Is there a way to make 12vdc trailer lights work on our 24vdc trucks. I was wondering if maybe tapping into the existing tail light wiring and then putting some resistors in series with the circuit might do it. Has anyone had to...
Our model is sporting carhardt work pants. They are a little tougher than blue jeans and work great for sliding in and out from under the truck. The shirt is a Browning denim shirt crisply starched in true Texas style. The shoes are Redwing work boots which sport evenly worn soles and...
