The M-37 / M-42 trucks are waaaay easier to find than an M-43 Ambulance. It would VERY UNFORTUNATE to cut up an M-43 to make a bastardized M-37.
Bad juju / karma. :-x
Please don't do it. :-(

On "H" Street should we headed north (towards the high school) or south (towards Highway 18 )? I just want to know which way I should be headed so I don't have to try and turn around in those narrow streets.
Thanks, Peter!

I just checked the thread above and post # 8 has the Technical Bulletin for the M-37 A frame kit.
If you want I'll email you a copy of the bulletin.

They are probably the same. Some of my antenna sections have the GR and some don't. All the ones I have are interchangeable (GR or no GR).
Best bet is to just ask the vendor.

SCSG-G4,
Do happen to have anymore specific information for Haynie Electric in Texas? I've tried searching for them on Google and a couple other search engines without any luck.
Thanks,

Also try Saturn Surplus and Columbia Electronics. They have the antenna mast sections.
These radio parts are getting hard to find so you shouldn't expect these to be cheap; you'll be disappointed. In the late '70s and early '80s it was cheap and plentiful; now it is almost all gone.
Good Luck...
Sorry, John, I don't know much about where to find M-43 parts. I spent time in those in the military (91U20 and some 91D20. Started as a 91A20 (?). It was a looong time ago).
All of my MV experience since ETS has been M-37 / M-42 and all the associated "accessories". Since the running gear is...
Here is the thread where I posted the TB on the A Frame set up:
http://www.steelsoldiers.com/m37/90587-m37-question.html
The TB is in the last thread post, post number 8.
I'll be out of town for a couple of days, but it will give you something to read and look at (it's only 11 pages). When I...
If anyone is still interested in this topic, I have a military A-Frame Kit and the manual for its installation and use. If anyone has questions I'd be glad to help.

Hey, mine is just a little tiny M-37. It's the smallest truck they had. Your guys trucks would just run right over mine and and you wouldn't notice any more than if you had hit an empty beer can.
I gotta' know where to go (and get there early) so I don't crushed by accident.

So, should we be headed North on H Street? I only ask because you have said once the big trucks get there that there is no turning around (or moving) apparently.
Which side of the street should we be on, east or west?
Thanks,
Storm 51
Congratulations on your Tech exam! Now you get to start playing with the radios, especially the green radios!
Good Luck on your General!

Thanks for the lead! I'll email him and see if I can induce him to let some of his little bits and pieces find a new home.
Thanks again. [thumbzup]

Is anyone on SS working on the old family radios (A/N GRC-3 thru -8 or VRC / VQR) radios from the 50's and early 60's? I'm talking about the old "boat anchor" tube radios.
I'm looking for a source for a bunch of little bits and pieces (antenna plug caps, switch levers, speaker plug caps w/...
Is that a 24VDC power distribution box (junction box)? If so, it just what I've been looking for to complete a radio set up in my truck.
Are you selling / trading it? Please PM if it is available.
Thanks,
