45k behind is a deuce is def pushing it. I've had 15k in the truck with 15k in tow, wouldn't want to go much higher then that. We rolled over a scale weighing about 45k in total and it was a slow ride. Truck stopped well because it triaxle trailer with air brakes. If I was ya get a 5ton or plan...
Word of advice. If your sitting in a chair and Scott is on a quad, watch out. He done ran into me and broke my chair. Fortunately I am a big guy and won the game of collision.
Edit - I am going down next weekend and labor day. If anyone wants to come down let me know.
Change the primary filter again, its more then likly clogged again. When water ended up in my tank, my truck did the same thing.
Did any of the oil you pour in have a brownish tint? If so, had some water mixed in.
A little gasoline on a rag over the mushroom is a good "starting" fluid for the deuce. Ive used it a few times when the deuce wouldnt start on it owns. Shouldnt hurt it either.
I have a spare #5 line. I could over night it to ya, or 2 day it. Either way the line is yours if ya pay for the ride. (last time I over nighted a line to fresno CA, it was 75ish bucks.)
You could try some dynamic balancing. BB's work good, or there are products designed to do it. I believe the ratio is 1oz of balancer material to every 13lbs of tire.
I. Still say we need invest in a fleet of 50,000 remote control p51s and b29s. Sure alot would get shot down but alot wouldn't. And they are going to be a **** of alot cheaper. Sure keep the air supporty fighters but win with numbers.
Yep, its mine..... Makes me wonder what that loud thunk I heard is now. I figured it was the lugnut.....
And Ive alrdy got it replaced and took a 1in impact to the rest of them to get em torqued good.
Also. A few sheets about a foot wide and 3-4ft long of expanded metal can be used in a pinch to make a "plank"road for the deuce. Ive used 2x6's and expanded metal on RVs weighing 3x that of the deuce with out issues. I've yet to need them in the deuce.
I take mine out in the sand all the time. Airing the fronts is the biggest thing. 15psi is what I do. Airing the rears down is a matter of the situation. If I have drag out a fully loaded 1ton with 5th wheel out , I'll air down the rears. Last time I went out I just took the valve cores out of...
The compressor has enough capacity to keep the pump up at above max PSI input for about a 7 gallons. Since I filter directly into 5 gallon cans to pour into my truck( my filter system not near where I can get the truck). By the time I carry the fuel over and pour it in the tank, the compressor...
Not trying something because other people may get mad? Thats a pretty crappy attitude to have. Its like saying the guys in the "mudtrucks" that are stuck, but just keep it floored on the off chance they will get out. It wastes more time then having a dozer yank some one out, and its all about pride.
I would say there estimate is way off. On a mid 50's day, I can fill a jerrycan in 1-2 minutes max with that pump. I filter it right into 5 gallon cans then into the truck as my aircompressor cant keep up with the pump. I should be needing to refill my saturday, Ill gladly make ya a video if I...
I've played in many a mudbog in my deuce. Ive been stuck twice. Once took a ford with a blown 460 to yank me out, the other took a K5 with a 502 to pull me out. Airing the tires down to 15psi will help dramaticly.
This is more then likly how your mudbogging experiance will end. But is for...
The BFG A/T's are by far the best onroad/offroad tire I've ever ran. The trick to making them good offroad is airing them down. Aired up they suck, aired down, they do almost as good as my BFG M/T's
