Very very true all I can do now is move forward , I believe a engine swap may be the cheapest solution? Any idea where to find a good one ? Do the hummer take outs drop right in?
I contacted them too and sent pictures but got no reply , haha , I discovered the other hole is elongated and the flywheel is worn bad from grinding , I'm wondering if it would b more cost effective just to find a good engine , I'm not sure the problem wouldnt resurface again if by some miricale...
I need a motor I've got a bad block not sure if I should rebuild one or get one of those hummer motors, not sure if the hummer motor will drop right in??
Your not sure what your getting then also though right? Found a hummer motor for 1100 that's running , I've been looking at the classifieds on here. Not sure if it would b cheaper to rebuild or find a running engine , a good running engine .
To add to the level of difficulty they also threaded out the whole bigger on the block and starter, I got a gear reduction starter, could i make the hole bigger, or could I tap the hole deeper and put a longer bolt in there, how deep can i go w the right handed hole?
Anyone have any pictures of new style starter bracket installed on truck
