thanks . whats weird is that when i bought it from gsa they said nothing about anything inside the truck. in the picture you could see blacked out windows but looked to be a standard m1009. when i got it home it had a set of 24v slave cables and a 50' chain with the big U in the middle. nice...
it was stock military on the outside except it had a hinged hole in the roof, and a giant telescopic mast that had a camera mounted on top. the bumpers were both extended with hydraulic jacks in the 4 corners. the mast and camera equipment overloaded the truck . i m guessing the mast extended...
civy's are the same through 91. gm replacement to the military are the million mile ones you see on ebay. if you want one with a trip you'll need a civy and if you are careful you can put the miles where you want them.
with the speedometer head in your hand you'll see two screws on the front...

mine is avaiable as well with possible delivery to nm-co in early feb. thanks. mark

its really not that bad, but if you break the pump rod its more expensive than the pump you just bought. i broke two in one day yrs ago. lesson learned[thumbzup]
also fyi, i installed a new lift pump on a truck without checking the clearance of the input tube to the frame. after installing the...
be careful putting a new lift pump in, the rod that drives the pump can become dislodged and break when you tighten the pump bolts. i put some heavy grease on the rod to keep it from moving out. you can also turn the motor till its at the shortest point . thanks. good luck
in my experience when the meter is down on the line, you have lost one alternator. when that happens , put your volt meter on each battery and find wich one is not being charged. drivers side alt. charges the front battery, passenger the other. voltage should be 14v + or -. when running. if it...
