Can the M1008 front fenders bolt on the M1009? I understand 36" tires will fit the M1008 so will a fender swap allow the bigger tires without lifting? I have 33X12.5 on now so I can do any lifting to get ready but I would like to do as little lifting as possible. I thought about cutting the...
The pump uses two seals but they only come in a set of five? I also got the gasket for the cover. It was all less than thirty dollars. I will take a stab at repairing it.
I have fuel leaking under the vacuum switch. I am just trying to figure out what would need to be replaced. I am looking at TM9-2320-289-34P page 47 the diagram TA510822 for help. I have looked through the TM's but is there a better diagram or instructions on repairing the IP? If I pull the IP i...
Has anybody on here cracked open an IP and fixed it? I only have to go in the top part but not sure how much trouble it is. I have a back-up IP and want to know which is easier. Swapping the IP's or fixing it on the truck?
Gone? Can you stick something through it? I would think there would not be much fuel pressure if it was gone. But I have not tried it. I know when I looked through mine I could not see anything but when I tried to spray carb cleaner I found out it was there.
With a 4" lift you can run 36" tires. $' you can do without all the other expensive stuff. You can buy everything at one time or do it as you have the money at Offroad Design - Fullsize Chevy GM 4x4 Suspensions, Parts and Performance great people too. They sent me this to help me with a 4" lift...
Dorman makes complete line kits. You just can't ask for them for a Blazer. It will only show the upper. Just say they are for a K30 pick-up with a J code diesel. The Dorman part numbers are 625-154 (upper) and 625-155 (lower). If you give those numbers to NAPA they can cross reference them.
I...
Yes the girdle is for the bottom end. That is the whole purpose of the girdle.
Boost with the same fuel will give you more power and fuel economy. The diesel unlike the gas engine ignites from compression not a spark. So the turbo adds more air that aids in combustion plus the increase in...
STUD GIRDLE!!!!!! If you add a turbo without it you are going to have problems. When it is apart it is real easy to do. STUD GIRDLE KIT They should pay me for pushing their product. You can make one from angle iron but then you have minor adjustments and checking clearances. I just got the kit...

I would not rebuild until it smokes like a train or you notice a loss of power. After my rebuild the increase in power was very noticeable. So if it is running fine don't worry about. You will know when it is time.
I would not say any smoke is normal. I would say save the money for a rebuild and keep driving it. You will have a loss of power and it will run hotter. Eventually the engine will shut down because it gets too hot. All you have to replace are the gaskets and rings. Then clean all the carbon...
Yup! It is blow by! It is not hat hard to rebuild. I posted a thread about it. I rebuilt mine under a picnic tent. Remove the fuel filter bracket and the oil cooler lines before pulling! I can tell you all about it. I spent about $500 and replaced the IP and added a stud girdle. Do not listen to...
