Good for you! Looks like your first break. You got good advice in previous posts - If cops find out about video, probably will disappear, and witness may be told to shut up. 1. Good lawyer who is not connected to police or other side. 2. After good lawyer, your ins co should know about this so...

M1009 recovery and first start up after possible 10 years sitting.

Well, I guess now we know why it was parked. Some of that damage looks old, most looks recent. Re: trans - I agree - no sense doing the work twice. Since you have a tow vehicle, I would take a chance - clean out all the detrius between the teeth, and smoth the worst of the tooth damage - just...

    Vacuum Wipers

I am old guy what seen most everything on this. They used to make a dual diaphragm fuel pump with the top for the wipers. Theory was when manifold vac was low, you were pumping lots of fuel, so use top of fuel pump to make vacuum. It hardly helped at all. Used to stay in a lower gear going up...

Tried to DIY caused problem. Assistance Please!

Arr - YA GIVES UP TOO EASY. Check your batteries - probably need charging, then do what previous posters said. Probably have one or more blown fusible links. Only replace with EXACT same thing from a repair kit or cut from a vehicle in scrap yard. If you remove it or put in a heavier one, next...

    Dealing with a wreck

Truck took a pretty good shot. I would not be driving it without suspension repairs. Concerned about the suspension on RR, particularly the master leaf spring and hangars, which may have been overstressed, and could decide to become 2 leafs or new design hangars and bolts at the next big bump...

    Vacuum Wipers

Ya mean you don't like them going so fast you think they are going to fly off going down hills with the throttle closed, and barely moving going up hills at almost WOT?

How many times have you guys rebuilt your CUCV starter?

Could get an idea if you tell us what is going - the pinion gear? Clutch? brushes? Armature? bearings?

    Dealing with a wreck

Excellent advice! I would avoid talking to them - they will twist what you say and use it against you. Know someone it happened to. How are you doing??? Were you able to take a better look at you truck? DOES THE AT FAULT PARTY HAVE INSURANCE?

    Dealing with a wreck

Glad you have a hard head! Take care of yourself first- Truck can be fixed or if necessary, replaced. That put quite a jolt on your neck - I agree with everyone - start seeing MD's. Worst of neck injury may not show up for quite some time. Take Care

    6Tl Battery advice please

OEM batteries in my civy vehicles generally last life of ownership or at least 10 years. The only time they lasted less than 10 years is when the top post got some hidden corrosion and battery got less than a full charge for an extended time. Had to replace battery in my truck a few years ago...

M1008 Broke another Transfer Case Adapter

"The truck also runs down the rode a little doglegged." Do you know if it has been hit? Running down the road doglegged can be a bent frame. Since it is only an M1008, any alignment shop can get it on the rack and do a quick check.

Need mechanics opinion on my next move

Do not polish surfaces smooth - leave some roughness to give gasket "tooth". Re torque after first warm-up, follow TM's

Water in transmission, question about cleaning.

My vote is for ATF. Detergents will help dissolve sludge. When using ATF, and especially diesel, do not load it heavily. The film strength is not there. Can damage bushings, etc. I jack vehicles up and run through gears under no load. I do not put a load on trans until I have correct lube...
