Got it out and apart...
Got it out and apart. Indeed the key on the shaft ate the inside of the pulley. The key faired fine and just needed clean up with a file. Same for the inside of the pulley. With them both cleaned up they just slide right together relying on the nut to hold them together...
Think I'm better buying the alternator and pulley myself or going for this? http://www.wolverinetechnologiesllc.com/M925Alternator.html
I'm not sure where to find a pulley by itself.
I'll have to pull it and look but I wonder what forces in play keep the pulley from being drawn down tight against the housing?
I think it chucked it's first belt right after I got it...
NHC250 alternator pulley loose, not charging?!
I've lost count of the number of belts it's thrown in the last year, prolly 6-8. I finally identified the problem as a loose alternator pulley that wiggles and throws belts off. I tightened it down once only to have it come loose again. I was going...
Hazard lights behaving strangely? -resolved
So during the parade yesterday I ran my hazards but every time I depressed the service brakes they stopped flashing. Off the brakes and they started flashing again. Is this normal behavior?
Thx! 5-ton. The camo net is a favorite of mine too but it is a PITA to maintain. I'm forever mending it with twine. Everything, ice, wind, snow, highway driving seems to tear at it.
Today was a blast! Got to see another SS member I hadn't seen since last year. A couple of regular or reserve Army soldiers showed up with a HMMWV and whatever the tan beauty is. Parade was 3.5 miles and there were thousands and thousands of parents and kids in lining the route.
I'm happy to...
OK I'm in. Got confirmation just now. Gonna stage at the SW corner of Reno and Sunnylane, directly across the street from the main staging area. See attachments. Hope to see some others there!
I plan to! I just submitted my individual application but haven't heard back if it's too late to register. I'm gonna check my email again and then call the city. Did you get your registration in already?
Check out my post.

You just need to support the steering column. I used a 24" pipe and a small bottle jack braced from the front suspension up to the joint in the steering column to...
Well it took many months but I finally got back to this project. I decided for now not to cut into the truck and instead add them underneath the bed. I also added some reflective tape to help with visibility, specifically when parked on the street overnight.
Yes. Get yourself a Honda as a DD. EVERY 5 ton needs mods and maintenance which for most preclude it from being a Daily Driver. Plus MPG sux and so does parking.
I covered my buzzer with a few layers of electrical that. Works for both parking brake and low air. Still noticeable but quiet enough that I can ignore it.
