So affix the gauge to the pump or run a hose up thru my window so I can watch it while driving? I ask because i dont know if max pressure is achieved under load during driving or if it be checked with a fast idle while parked?
Moving back inside, I used a 6' fiberglass fish pole thru the washer fluid line hole in the firewall to get the probe wire fished.
I tapped power off one of the dash lights using a y-splitter I fabbed up with Packard connectors. I ground it at the bottom of the steering wheel and tidied it...
To complement my dual fuel line mod and to prep for turning up the fuel some more I installed a EGT probe and gauge in my truck. Lots of other threads out there but I took lots of pics so here goes.
I choose a Hewitt Industries gauge and custom ordered one direct from them with 0-1600° range...
Can't get mine on either
I got my old 18" wheel off and can't get my new 20" wheel on. The spring just provides too much resistance. I need to compress it over 1/4" before the nut might have a chance to start. I supporated the column from underneath with a long wood block. I cannot muster the...

I went the...
Total bummer, heal fast! I worry all the time about hurting myself working on mine. Everything is big and heavy or requires climbing to service. Seems there is no end to the number of ways to injure oneself. Plus they happen at the most inopportune times too, in the middle of a repair or with...
Thanks all. It's an A0. Seems to be some different opinions from experienced members, I like it, that means my question isn't stupid. It seems ideally it shouldn't spin at all, but since I can stop it with a 2x4 it might not be a problem, yet. What problem could it manifest into?
My truck...
So my fan always spins. Read lots of threads and they seem to end with fixing the shutterstat. I was hoping that was my problem but it seems not. I disconnected the air to the shutterstat but the fan continues to turn. I can stop the fan with a 2x4 so the clutch isn't frozen. The TM says notify...
I wish. There's a convenient muffler shop down the road. The guys have done several small projects for me includong a half dozen on my truck. Shortly, maybe tomorrow, i need them to weld a nut to the back of the engine for my dual fuel line mod and a week later I'll use them again to tack the...
