Well I finally got around to fixing my tailgate chain. Seems the chain needed to be moved down about 2" from its attachment point on the tailgate. This now allows the gate to land level with the bed and elim I mates the ramp at the end. I hit it with some paint after I took this pic.
Ugh, well there's not really. Finditparts didn't find it necessary to ship in a quick manner. My ship date was pushed to the 29th, 3 weeks after order. So I have no faith (nor patience) that they'll actually be able to 'find' and deliver it. I instead bought a replacement on ebay.
The steering wheel in my '83 M925 is cracked to death (pictured) and I want to replace it. Many of the replacement steering wheels I find are of a slightly different style and size. Think the horn hardware from my horn will fit the different style?
I wonder which wheel would be original to my...
Pulled it out, as suspected it's bad. You can see the rubber ball is split and broken. Its about the consistency of a superball. I found prices ranging from $109 to $26 for a replacement valve but instead decided on a repair kit for $13. Should have it in a few days.
I just ran into the same problem on my end. Pressing the brake pedal fully causes the primary system to drain to zero within about 45 seconds. I first checked all my service brake diaphragms, all 6, because those also vent to the stack. To check my LQ2 valve I'm going to first disconnect the...
That said, I plan to come solo with my M925. Need to run all that by my CO first. Also plan to sleep in a very non military tent, so no snickering.
What time's chow on Friday? Trying to plan my best ETA, and an approximate chow time might help.
That counts! Just post up here how many you're bringing and if you'll be there for the fri pm, sat am, and sat pm meals.
You might also list up any MV's or gear you're bringing, might be of interest to some.
Doubtful. The tire is in contact with both the front of the bed and the back of the cab (actually with the 1\2 metal loops that hold the super rope). If the pole sticks out no further than those loops you might be okay.
Actually the 14.00 will fit. Barely. Just did mine.http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?83549-What-have-you-done-to-your-5-ton-this-week&p=1754534&viewfull=1#post1754534
Yes! And no. With the bracing in place the davit flexes downward about 2" under the weight of the larger tire. Without the bracing it flexes down about 3". In both cases moderate upward and inward pressure is required to move the tire into the storage position. This is mostly because the tire...
Amazon has them or find them at a craft store or in the paint section of most hardware stores.
Got my super single stuffed in behind the cab. Had to remove the bracing for the davit and loosen the air intake to get it in but she fits. The intake bolts back into the same location but will need...
Uh well now I feel stupid. Did not know that. I saw that big yellow banner and my inability to reply and jumped to the locked conclusion! My bad, Thanks for being gentle all!
A ton of for sale just got locked and that left me wondering why. The lack of a mod comment as to why the thread(s) were locked left my wondering. Due dillagance led me to read the rules hyperlinked to on the THREAD LOCKED banner but still I couldn't figure out what rule was broken.
Now there's...
Congrats! Wish I could make some money with my 925 instead of just spending money on it. I'm sure you've done so already but make sure you get a good commercial insurance policy on it.
