Wait now. You're wheel won't wobble with three lug nuts loose. If your wheel was wobbling ALL but one or two must be loose. Even then your lugs nuts would have to be half off the studs to even see the holes.
Got it!
Got it! My tool combined with my chain hoist combined with a strap attached to the davit and my bumper on the opposite side did the trick. A dozen or two blows with my 5 lb hammer broke it free and I finished it off with the chain hoist.
Thanks for all the suggestions!
Who wants to...
So I fashioned this up with some galvanized fittings from my local big box store. With luck this and some PB blaster and my five pound hammer will free it up. Wish me luck.
(Sorta) glad I'm not alone on this one.
Thanks everyone for all the great input!
I think I'll try a more manual approach like hammering on the end first before removing it and trying some bath method. At work a colleague suggested I bathe it in evapo rust. I might try that. But removing it is...
Tire davit woes *Resolved*
My tire davit is stuck in the closed position. The inner tube that extends out about two feet from the outer tube won't budge. It seems rusted in place from years of non use. I've flooded it with PB Blaster, banged on it with a hammer and even used a come along...

Next time your local glass shop can make you a laminated replacement window for...
I don't know how you do it. You're gonna log what, 3000+ miles this trip? My 300 mile round trip last weekend to meet up with a fellow SS member kicked my ass. Drive safe.
Hey, I'm finally heading up to KS in the AM to pick up a spare for my 925.
Excellent info! Great pics, vids and write up! You have looking dash too. Noticed your tach bounces, a lot compared to mine. Did it do that before the mods? Could be your input on the tach is getting wallowed out allowing the needle to skip around. If so I posted some pics on how to fix it with...
Can you describe or use one of the pics in this thread to explain which threads need counting? I'm about to take mine off/apart to rebuild.
This thread is full of great info. Thanks all!
Oh gosh. Well the solargizer uses the batterys own power to pulse the battery to prevent sulfation on the battery plates and extend battery life. It doesn't actually add any juice to the battery. That's where the solar charger comes in, it will add juice to the battery to keep it topped off. The...
