    Stand, vehicle support - NEEDED

Made my own. Buy 4' 2x4 mild steel .25 thick. Buy 2000lb trailer Jack from bull dog. Best with removable lock pin to take off after use. Also try to get one with adjustable drop leg. Quicker. And easier to use. Another option is to mount a Jack on each side of the loader. More stable and...

Accessing 4x4 and 2 speed locking cylinders.

To access the 4x4 selector switch to replace you have to tilt. There is a small access hole under the cab at actuator. Spray some LPS1 IN THERE FIRST. Be gentle it should start working. Dirt gets in there and won't allow it to move. The actuators are expensive.

    M1070 6x6 Camper?

3 Point the body......The Unimog and others usually do a 3 point mount...Engines are usually 3 point mounted already. I don't see why the same would not work with a truck like this. Just havet to build your own triangle mounts. 1 on the front...hard mount the middle...1 on the rear. Usually...

    Unimog FLU419 Tractor thing?

I've heard so many things...but lets get one thing straight....They are unique. I've owned many military trucks the consensus of most is they are all hard to work on...ie..M1070LOL! You have to be Quadruple jointed to work on it. This isn't the only time a vehicle/tractor has gotten ripped...

Just an update....Truck started this morning and it ran fine...went to town and it was all of a sudden...like a break...sudden loss of power. Idle only...limped it back to base....idle is smooth but rough at higher rpms. Will change filters....(1)passenger side fuel filter and one fuel water...

    Great day today..."Optimus Prime" Lives!

I'll be using Pro One#2 grease...it holds up better and is supreme. 40wt if I can find it up here in the Baaken...seems funny we'd have an issue with that up here in the oil patch. STRAIGHT 30 is my next choice. Need to order a new dimmer switch anybody have one they want to sell? Curious...

Afternoon folks....well I purchased a battery box heater and a engine block heater this week. Although no stranger here to working on Oshkosh trucks it's seems alot more crowded than my Unimog especially with the height already. Does anybody have a options list of the m1070 for winterizing...

Winterizing M1070 for Harsh Cold Weather

Well...I own a M1070 and it's probably never seen the kind've weather it's going to see in Montana...so I'm going to add a Battery box heater and insulate the box to keep as much heat inside. Now to the Engine and coolant....Does anybody know the size of the lower radiator hose off hand? Or...
