I bought some fuel return lines from Badger Diesel off of everyone's favorite auction sight and there horrible. Every other month or so im replacing one thats leaking. The ends split and they leak diesel all over the place. Does anyone know where to get new lines in that diameter that will...
I took off the old, well new never worked pump and there were two small flat rocks lodged into the pump itself. Glad it passed quality control with those extra parts floating around. FYI never buy an ATSCO remanned pump.
aua Looks like it is 5/32 i measured the hole marked B in your picture. Hate it when i get the wrong hole8) Ill put it in tomorrow and see how it goes.
Great info thank you! The new pump i just picked up has a 7/64 hole in it. Should i take it back and try to find one with the 5/32? Any brands that you know of come that way or am i looking for a white elephant? I think all the parts stores near me will probably have the same remaned stuff...
No fluid level change. Pulley is installed correctly because i had a **** of a time trying to figure out how to get the PS belt over the larger alt. pulley. Can post up pics of it but i rerouted everything the same way i took it off.
No foam at all. Its not even spilling over the reservoir anymore. Just spent a good 20 min turning the wheel and pumping the brakes in 115 degree heat and its still not working right. I just ordered a vacuum bleeder adapter to bleed it with a hand vacuum pump hopefully thatll make life easier.
Is it normal to overflow some fluid when the wheels turned to full lock? Just messed with it some more and it spewed out some fluid when i held it at full lock. Brakes are still soft and hard to turn buts its still 110 out so got to wait til later when it cools some to mess with it.
I tried and still no luck. Jacked up the front and turned the wheels lock to lock about 20 or so times. It puked out some fluid think from overflowing but couldn't tell when id go to full lock and its still stiff as **** to turn at idle. Think it needs more bleeding?
So i replaced the power steering pump, got a unit from Rock auto as it was alot cheaper than the local parts store and they didnt have one in stock. I also replaced the high pressure lines and return lines and all the belts while i was at it. All new parts in, bled the lines by pumping the...
Appreciate the input, ill go check the hardware store for something thatll work but couldnt find any studded bolts like that. Is there a part number for it by any chance?
I got some 1/4-20 in all thread im going to cut down and make a new top bolt for the starter to go thru the bracket. Looks like the old bolt had broken off where it went into the bracket. Seems like it could be a common problem supporting a heavy clunky starter on a small bolt.
Ill crawl under and check in the daylight. I have a bracket for the direct drive starter sitting in the garage. It was never hooked up since ive had the truck and it still had the original direct drive starter on it so would think its all original. Would it hurt anything if i just took off...
What am i missing here? There looks like a gap of about 1/2 inch between the starter and the bracket. Can i just take out that top bolt and put a longer stud in there? I just had the starter rebuilt its the original direct drive 24v and the bracket was never hooked up since ive had the truck and...
I do not but can take some pics of my setup for you in a bit. I welded a return spout to the oil pan so yeah i did have to drop the pan to do it. My oil feed line i put a T fitting from the oil pressure sensor and ran a stainless steel line from that to the turbo.
