    Just got a M38A1!

The year is a '53. The plate behind the pass seat is missing. I forgot to get the SN today. I'll get it tomorrow.

    Just got a M38A1!

Turn signals work! Did the military add turn signals? Cool thing is, all the electrical works. The harness looks new. Things don't look like they were installed perfectly, zip ties and such. Front black out isn't installed, but I've got it in a parts box. It's missing the plug on the pass side...

    Just got a M38A1!

Its one of those that looks good at a distance and in pics! As you said, its still got a lot of the hard to find parts. I'm still trying to get the known history on it from the previous owner.

    Just got a M38A1!

Had a CJ-7 years ago and loved it. Been wanting a M38A1 for a while now. Just picked up this one. Still 24V. Looks like new fenders and maybe hood. Lots of other new stuff on it. Tub has some new steel welded in. It still needs a lot of work. I think I'll drive it this summer then maybe pull the...

    Testing a heater motor

Thanks Bjorn. I thought it should work, but with the pos attached to the lead and the neg clamped to the heater frame, I was just getting sparks. Then I realised that I've got the whole set-up on a rubber mat. I ran a ground and they both spun like tops! Thanks for the help! Jim

    Testing a heater motor

I've got a couple of Deuce heaters and I want to test the motors before I install. 1. Where to I connect the leads? 2. Will a 12v battery spin the motor for testing purposes? Thanks!

    Machine gun tripod question

Sounds like what you really need is a ring for the M35.

    Machine gun tripod question

M2 tripod is a little small for a .50. The .50 is used on the M3. They are very pricey.

    weasel in the deep

Hey, I got it! I think this boat is available. It's the one that the CIA built for Project Azorian, when they tried to recover that Russian sub from the ocean floor. It's worth a shot. The government could use the cash!

    British Sankey trailer - FV861651

I forgot about that one! ....and I wouldn't worry about the 'off topic' subject matter. The Challenger II is still an MV!

    British Sankey trailer - FV861651

Never been a huge fan of the RR. However, if you watch 'Top Gear', Jeremy's RR did win the challenge in South America against a Suzuki Samuri and a Toyota Land Cruiser, although I think the challenges are heavily staged. Very funny, but staged!

    British Sankey trailer - FV861651

OOPS! Screwed up. It's RHD, So it must have been converted to diesel at some point. (In fact it was....I just noticed the data plate says 'Petrol') It doesn't look too bad, although its got some civy mods. Look up Old English Cars and you'll find it. Rover made some cool military stuff. I'm...
