Thanks for the pic. Definitly different. Have to see if the gearing lines up.
This is listed as a Deuce PTO, but it lloks different, too.
M35, 2 1/2 Ton PTO (power takeoff)Trucks NEW Military | eBay
The pic I uploaded is hard to see than my original. The PTO is made by Arrow Gear Company in Broken Arrow, OK. The SN is 7051049 and the Model No is SHD7 2B.
Problably the best bet is to find out what its for and find it a home, then get the right one.
Bolt pattern looks right, but that doesnt mean it's for a deuce. Here's a better pic. I'll have to check the TM that you list. The one I was using had winch replacement, but no real pics of the PTO. I don't have the TM number right now but I'll check out the one you've listed.
Any more ideas...
I can't seem to get to the TMs on the old site. I hit resources/TMs and my browser says it's going to the old site, but it just reloads the current. What am I doing wrong?
I kept watching Ebay and Gunbroker until a good deal came up. Also, 1919a4.com has a nice .50cal forum as well as M2HB.net. Those sites are to the Browning .50 as SS is to military vehicles.
I don't think Santa could haul that thing. But then again, Santa's sleigh with an M66 ring MOUNTED over the passenger seat would be pretty awesome! Toss an m2hb on top and it would make for a safer trip over 'naughty' air space!
I bought one with two sets of legs (no, I don't know why it had two sets) for $1K about 6mos ago. I see them advertized for much more but kinda stumbled on this one. It seems they come up from time to time at this price, but finding one at this price later, when your looking to install one...
Looks like most folks are loosening the door jam bolt, but not all the way out and wedging. I'll get the BFH and try it again.
Anyone have a good distance for the top of the door bracket to the bottom of the bracket on the leg?
Thanks for the help. Thought I was wacked out for the difficulty...
Read the TM? Never thought of that! :-D
Good idea on the 'C' clamps. I'll keep beating on it!
What distance do you have between the top of the door bracket and the bottom of the bracket on the leg?
Any hints for mounting this thing in the bracket? (the passenger side bracket behind the mirror) I started by just loosening the outer 2 bolts. Could'nt get it into to bracket until I took out the bolts in the door jam area. Now that its in the bracket, I'm having trouble lining up the jam...
