Yes and no. Stanadyne is pretty good at concealing what the differences are in the DB2 pumps that were used on the 6.2 and some 6.5s. They probably have 40+ variants that have different advance curves, fuel rates,etc. Yes- it will run with any pump off of any 6.2, but it may not run right...
I have my 1008 clone setup with breather vents plumbed to the engine compartment on everything - including the transmission and transfer case.
I still avoid water and mud - I re-geared the axles once, replaced all the seals and bearings, and I would like to avoid doing it again. It does not...
I think you found your problem.
Stop driving it now- you are currently damaging your ring and pinion along with the pinion bearings.
What led you down the path to replace the crush sleeve in the first place?

They are tough, but they are not exactly known for being concentric, easy to balance or light. Also add into the mix you need 2" or greater wheel spacers.

I've used super glue- it isn't perfect.

That is an odd one - can't say I can think of anything in there that would use that small of a bolt. Maybe it was a pan or filter retainer bolt that someone somehow launched into the gap between the lower cover and the bell housing while servicing the transmission. The allen head fastener...
